  1. We have bamboo in the garden - 4m tall, grows like weed, you need a rhizome barrier to keep it in one place.

  9. Hi, I am not a parent with children at JKPS, but always liked it. Maybe you do a field trip and ask parents at the school gates in the morning or afternoon. Most people are happy to chat and give recommendations.
  10. homeaway.co.uk/p508730#_propertyDetails House Palmere in Se Covetes. The hosts are lovely, very childfriendly, the area is quite rural and calm. Long sandy beaches. You can also go sailing with Kurt the owner. Amazing!

  12. Not around the corner but apparently very good: http://richmondpractice.co.uk/
  13. Have you tried duo dance in herne hill? Good luck with the exam!
  14. Thanks for the suggestions, all bookmarked for the next trip! Will stay in a youth hostel in Kent ;-)
  15. Don't buy Vertbaudet, we just got a birthday present from Granny. Fabric badly printed, awkward format for pillow case, end of duvet cover open (no zipper or button, just to fold in, and that's not working. So we were very disappointed today ...
  16. We just need a bit of a change for a few days. Somewhere to go for all four of us over this weekend, country side or sea side. Any recommendations? Have been googling for hours now (makes me even more in need of a break) Shouldn't be too expensive though ...
  17. Never thought about moving to canada? Vancouver? Such a great place, close to the mountains and directly at by the sea.
  18. Had a similar dilemma, we would just reach the minimum height, but our neighbour (semiterrassed) has a nice high ceiling,2.20 at least. We had some builders round, all of them guessing a final height. So we will go with an architect and she worked out a good ceiling Height for us. Haven't done it yet, all i am saying is, there are other options too. One of the builders suggested lowering the ceilings in the first floor, I am just glad we didn't go that route. Good luck!
  19. My son started on the mini micro aged 2. Easy to drive bit they also tip over easily when stopped by a little stone or so. He lost a front tooth then ...
  20. Beckenham place park in lewisham. There is a train station directly at the woods. I think you can also link it with ladywell fields. We went around park and golf court, less park more nature and it felt we were far away from london. Google it! enjoy.
  21. Hi Knomester, My son is an erly september baby. He willbe always the eldest in his year. A friend's from my NCT class was born end of august. So he is two weeks older than my son. But he had to start a year erlier. I can't imagine that someone would tease him if he would be in the same class as my son. I think you are considering the right thing here.
  22. Nearly impossible to find online. I had my google-session some days ago: http://www.better.org.uk/leisure/streatham-ice Enjoy
  23. I usually decide by price first, then airport :-(
