  7. I would say be grateful she didn't pick the hunger games 😏 Sorry l am not very helpful, haven't read Twilight myself. Just read the hunger games and thought kids that age should def not read it. I would not allow that my kids! And here is rhe point, are we allowed, shall we interfere here to protect them? Most kids in year 6 have read it.
  8. Hi, I think a party for the whole class is just great, especially when they are still getting to know each other. Instead of party bags we often buy cheep books from bookpeople.co.uk, often for ?1 each. Some sweets on top and you'll have a nice party goody.

  13. Poor you, l really feel for you. You could ask for a referral or go to a course for MBCT, mindfulness based cognitive behaviuor therapy. http://mbct.co.uk/the-mbct-programme/ I know a lot of people who found this very helpful. All the best for you!!
  14. Hi there, We are lost in freedom of choice ... My girl is starting secondary (st dunstans) and l have no clue what kind of bags children have. Rucksack (big or small)? Kind of shoulder bag? Do they have to carry a lot of heavy books or only work sheets? Colourful or plain? Any input would be really helpful!
  15. Don't get too stressed about the whole Alleyn's thing. LO is to young for predictions yet. There are a lot of great schools around here, Alleyn's is very competitive and not everybody is happy and thriving there. Keep your mind open, let your little one develop and then see where to go ... I know that does not answer your questions, but l wanted to throw in my 50p!
  16. I always have abcopy of the birth certificate in my wallet. Isually l am too lazy to get it out of questioned, but l would not travel without it. But l honestly think it is quiet discriminatory: we are married, just not having one family name and l have to prove constantly l have the right to travel with them.
  17. Most of the car hire companies having unreasonable prices for their car seats. If you can take it for free, its worth considering it. Check prices with airline and car rental.
  18. Or cowling & wilcox at camberwell green!
  19. Hamptons court. Or (my personal wish): petersham nurseries near richmond and a nice walk along the thames. Or (that's what we did on our wedding anniversary): from kings cross along the regents canal, until camden or further to litte vencice, have a nice lunch on the way.

  23. Thanks for this, wonderwoman. I mean a blank one for any kind of stickers. He has the panini one and he is swapping world cup stickers already. But for all other stickers, he want's a blank one. You can stick them in, but you can also take the sticker off again without destroying them. The pages are coated wit a special film, we had one years ago, but no idea where I bought them.
  24. It seems l am the only one who can't find them. Looking for blank sticker books, the kids like trading their stickers at school. Just empty pages ... Locally, online, doesn't matter.
