  1. Baby boosters ar jags is great and run by a really lovely man Danny - both my sons started off there (now age 8 & 4) and the nice thing is that if they like it they can progress outside to Danny's football which is on the astro turf at 9 on sat mornings. Football magic also do a young group on Sat at Burbage Road
  2. Hi James - also on the subject of dog mess - Crystal Palace road on the left hand side as u walk down from lordship lane to Heber - so much dog mess - same as Pickle says - its in the same places each day - sometimes the pavements are so covered in areas that u have to cross over as cant get pram and 2 children past it without getting in it. I ring the council when I can to report it but then it's just back the next day!
  3. Not sure if you have time to get it done but one of my best presents was a 'bob s book' u can look them up online but essentially you pick family photos and some words and they turn it into a lovely book for you I got mine when my oldest was 3 and two children later I probably still look at it a couple of times a week and asked the other day if He could do another one!
  4. Jimmy v - I agree with you, the dog poo problem on the pavements of East Dulwich is out of control. It is worth ringing the council as sometimes they come out and have a clean up if there is a lot.
  5. Sorry scrub the typo 'is' or I may get pulled up on my grammar too.
  6. Excellent - yet another pointless jibe from Lane Lover reading threads he or she is doesn't have to read!
  7. Hi there - they don't have any trolleys with seats any more - it's a pain but basically u either have to have your pushchair & trolley or put car seat in trolley meaning u can't buy very much unless your child is big enough to go in the seat at the front of the trolley (the upright seat where they sit by where u push)
  8. The fact that people keep posting about it means its an important issue to people who live in East Dulwich. On our walk to school today along crystal palace road we had to negotiate small children & pram around 10 fresh lots of dog poo - all on the pavements. Our walk to school now is called 'dodge the dog poo' it's not right that people are allowing their dogs to crap on the pavements for everyone to walk in without clearing it up!
  9. I am so sick of all the dog poo - our walk to school from lordship lane down crystal palace road is like some horrible game - 'dodge the dog poo' there are fresh mounds of it all over the pavements from top of cp road down to Heber including some particularly nice dog owners who let their dogs crap right outside the school & nursery entrances.
  10. Hi there do u remember the hotel u stayed in would u recommend? Also what is best time of year to visit do u think?
  11. When all the siblings I mean
  12. Yes James, but presumably you would also like your children to have somewhere to go to school. The area needs new schools - it is so short sighted that nothing has been done about this - constant bulge classes are not the answer - that just has a knock on effect when all Teheran siblings from the bulge classes need reception places. It has been known for years in this area that new schools are needed.
  13. With my two boys I went from nappies to training pants and then started lifting them to go to the loo just before I went to bed at around 11, they would normally have a wee almost in their sleep and then progressed from this to leaving a nightlight on near the bathroom so they eventually learnt to get up - hope this helps.
  14. This is the second rape in East Dulwich that I remember - there was one around a year ago in Cyrena road and it was really hard to find out whether that person was ever apprehended - last time I checked (was really worried for safety as very close to where we live and often walk home that way) the police officer I asked said they hadn't caught anyone for it.
  15. Hi there, I'd like to get involved in the WI, I came to the stall at the fair today and I know there is a meeting on the 6th June, but I will be away then, can someone let me know when the next one is after that so that I can come along.
