  1. Dog found in the woods - thanks to those who helped!
  2. My friends dog has just gone missing through a fence into Dulwich Park she is Small to medium, black except white chest and front paws, long ears pointy face. Will come for treats...her name is Penny. If anyone locates her please call Saira asap on 07811 200234.
  3. I always used to use merlin shoes in Crystal Palace, you can park in the Sainsbury's and they do proper fitting & know about best supportive shoes.
  4. I think that's a bit harsh at least she asked advice! When we were applying to secondary schools in the area a few years ago people were blatantly renting near to charter one and then moving back to out of catchment homes after getting a place - (though how they can afford & be bothered with all that upheaval I fail to understand..) I expect they didn't ask advice on the forum but they got away with it!
  5. I think report to the park ranger service anyway as at least they can maybe patrol and watch out for it. The flowers are for everyone to look at not pick.
  6. Quite a few people in Se22 didn't get their first choice this year just like last year & the year before so from Nunhead putting down schools like Charter etc there wouldn't be any chance I would imagine. Don't know what impact the new Charter has had this year? Did you put Kingsdale as at least they don't have a catchment.
  7. I heard that the school is supposedly in the process of tightening up their procedures to at least attempt stopping this from happening as it's very unfair on those who stay put and then don't get a place because of people who can afford the expense of temporarily renting to play the system!
  8. Which slow cooker would those who have them recommend?
  9. Totally agree, there is no reason not to pick up your own dogs poo, if you can't do it don't have a dog.
  10. Just read all this & thought as another voice maybe I should add that my other half & our kids beeen having haircuts at mem's since it opened and have always found the staff courteous and good cuts. We personally have never witnessed anything like this in their shop. From the Op's post it sounds this was chat between two barbers - yes unacceptable language but hardly a police matter?
  11. M & S do nice boys Blazers/jackets I had to buy for a funeral for sons similar age & got nice pin stripe ones from there with a lovely funky lining that they have worn to a lot of other things too.
  12. Erm, you asked for pedestrians - ie the majority of people in the park to use the pavement, grass or bridle way, so sort of a bit like segregation and before you say that obviously i don't cycle, yes I do, as well as walk.
  13. Maybe parents with children and people with dogs should walk backwards around the carriageway so as to see rendelharris coming & get out of the way, or maybe that won't be necessary as everyone not on a bike will be on the pavement leaving the carriageway clear!
  14. I think this happens already but it doesn't need to be 'formalised' and in your proposal pedestrians have to stick to a pavement which is exactly the opposite of what the park is for - it's one of the few places in London where as a pedestrian you don't have to stay on a pavement!
  15. Of course everyone has to share the amenities but in a park that doesn't mean pedestrians only being allowed to walk on the pavement! It's a shared space. Alternative is that the council do what they have in the Meadows park in Edinburgh where they have a clearly marked cycle lane but I don't see that is necessary in a park with the width of the carriage way in Dulwich Park, where they also hire out Go carts and smaller bikes that all go at different speeds. I am sure you could go & cycle at the velodrome down the road on a quiet day with no fear of pedestrians.
