Hi all James came round this morning for two hours work assisting us with fitting light fixtures in three rooms. Just had the same conversation with them as DigitalRonin save that the guy thought that engineers were out there working on it again, made sure to correct him. No timeframe apparently at the moment. If you have old neighbours do go round and check if they are OK for the day.

A thankfully unsuccessful, but no less alarming, breaking and entering overnight by two youths. Gained entry by smashing the front window of the external door and reaching around to unlock the door. Then proceeded to kick down the door of the ground flat but met with resistance on the other side by ground floor owner and fled. Opportunistic and wholly unsophisticated, can only recommend that residents invest in front porch lighting (day/motion sensors) and keep all valuables away from your front door letterbox. We are a house of flats but the indication is that they thought they were breaking into a house. Amazingly, for Barry Road - fled on foot. About 3.30am. Police were with us within five minutes so credit to them.

Really?! Kindergarten and a primary school on this road. Will try and call council tomorrow to see if they can have someone replace the map asap.

Hello there Yes I can hear the dog (last two evenings). It used to occur a couple months ago and then stopped but agreed that the poor dog sounds either unwell or distressed or both. I believe there was a previous thread on this and someone mentioned that the council were unwilling to help without an exact location specified. At this point does anyone else have clearer idea of where the noise is coming from? I'm the junction of Goodrich and Barry (side away from Lordship).
