Lots of 'ifs' there..! And we haven't even started talking about the rubbish batting yet! Collingwood's readguard action may have saved the first test, but we won the Ashes in 2005 through aggresive batting, often scoring 400+ in a day. Can't see a 400+ day happening too often this time (though if KP, Bopara, Freddie and Prior all click together, it may just happen....). All in all, not looking good. Mind you, the Aussies are a pale shadow without McGrath and Warne. Batting-wise, they look a bit better unfortunately (meaning our bowling has to be better than 2005 to win the Ashes this time). :( :( :(

"though I bet she can climb down ladders." <- you got that right - you fell for it hook, line and sinker!! :))

Geez. Only one day gone and already seems like it'll be as bad on the old ticker as the 2005 series. One moment we're on top then next they're on top. Then we wrestle back the advantage only to lose it again. Etc. etc. :(

one more absurdity: the tenants had called for the block to be demolished two or three years ago - but had been told it was a listed building, and had to be preserved. Why oh why are we preserving these crap pieces of architecture?!? And don't give me this 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder' rubbish.
