What's the problem with this? In case it's escaped your attention (and any BNP supporters' attention) many non-whites (and mixed race people) actually identify more with the British/English way of life than any other, believe it or not. So actually the cultural heritage of this country won't be much diluted by these people, if that's what you're worried about, er I mean, if that's what these 'BNP supporters' are worried about, wink wink nudge nudge say no more. Tony, perhaps the British shouldn't have invaded all those foreign countries over 40 years ago and then got their inhabitants to come to the UK to do all the 'second-class' jobs then eh? This process won't be the same in another 40 years because it's not the 'coloured' people who are coming here now, it's the Europeans. Tony, what exactly are you proposing after your rant? You are complaining about the number of foreigners in inner-London schools and inner-London neighbourhoods (and Leicester etc,) - do you want these foreigners sent back to their 'home' countries? Of course, by foreigners, you really only mean 'non-whites'. And let's not forget that many of these foreigners are now 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation - send them all back eh? And what about inter-marriages? And if you don't want to send them back - what exactly DO you want? Don't say you just want to stop more coming in, because ALL of the 'problems' that you've described will still remain.

Well, like the extremist Republian party in the USA, they'll soon eat themselves.

The BNP have won two seats. Two. Fewer people voted for them than last time around. Other minor parties have fared better, but aren't sensationalist enough to grab headlines. E.g. the Greens did much better this time round. Contrary to popular belief amongst racists, there is no 'surge' towards the BNP whatsoever.

Geez, looking at the BBC HYS on the election, you'd be forgiven for thinking that the BNP swept the board! (I have seen this all before with the Republican party when I lived in the USA though lol).

I think hooliganism is linked to culture too - I remember doing some research on this about 20 years ago...

I read that in the North West, the numbes voting for the BNP actually went down since the last election. The only reason they won a seat there was because the other parties' votes collapsed even more.

true ????. However, it could be that 93% are not racist and 7% are racist, i.e. that the votes in last week's election reflect the political leanings, with respect to racism, of the whole country.

BNP received 7% of the vote. Almost everyone is saying "ah, those people didn't really know all the racist policies of the BNP and it was a protest vote" but I heard one commentator on the BBC last night get it right when he said "There are, and always have been, racist undertones in the UK (just as there are in all other Western countries)". Around 7% sounds about right. This means that 93% are not racist by the way.

Well, I doubt we're all singing and dancing and shouting "hurrah".

By 'PC' nonsense, do people mean that they should be allowed to call black and brown people by whatever names they like without them taking offence, or at least with them not being able to do anything about it, just like in "the good ol' days"?
