We are in a first floor flat with 2 under 2. It was difficult when I was pregnant with the 2nd but I managed. I too dream of a garden but the parks around here are just soooo good that I feel extreamly lucky with our lot.

I had the same problem with my 21 month son today. He moved to toddler bed 2 weeks ago (we need the cot for his little sister) and had only got out occasionally so far. Today, however, it took me a whole hour to get him down for his nap. I did the same as legalbeagle which was pretty tiresome but eventually he gave up the very funny "game". I think I'd been expecting this behaviour since we made the big bed move. Tonight we had no problem. Hopefully next time he decides he doesn't want to got to bed, he'll give up the game more quickly. I really like the toddler and baby group in the hall behind the catholic church next to Dulwich library. 9.45 - 11.15 on Mondays. Play (with outside area), tea and juice then lovely singsong at end. ?1.50, I think. Starts again around middle Sept. Also Rhyme Time at Dulwich library on wednesdays at 11.00 - 11.30 which is free. Can be very busy, quite chaotic and a bit frustrating for parents but my son adores it. Beams whole way through. And it runs through holidays. Please someone correct me if I've got any of the details wrong.
