  1. Looked at their menu tonight and noticed it’s changed a lot. They’ve dispensed with the onion bhajis. They also don’t do their own deliveries anymore. Has anyone tried recently?
  2. I feel like I am now smelling aircraft emissions now where I don’t remember having this problem before. Does anyone else have this problem?
  3. I’ve not bought from there - have prices gone up?
  4. Looks good. Thanks for posting. Less expensive than Ocado. I do like the Kenyan tea I’ve had in the past from M&S.
  5. Sounds like General Store in Bellenden Road prices.
  6. Yes, was including the Drum and the Blue Brick and it’s previous incarnation round the corner in Fellbrigg Road. I also liked the bar Inside 72 on LL that used to be the Cheltenham & Gloucester building Society. They had really good burgers and great music. Loved Blue Mountain in its first incarnation with the different rooms and booths.
  7. Did you mean PA - Physician Associates? They have very limited training (about two years) yet their job title has the word Physician attached to it. It’s very shady.
  8. I miss the greengrocers that was in Northcross Road. Loved going there and then to the pet shop and would then stop off for sustenance in one of the many cafes, most of which are no longer there.
  9. Sometimes I notice the planes in the early hours - 4 am ish- but that’s usually if I’m already awake. I can hear very distant plane noises in the daytime but it does not seem like I’m under a flight path. I did live here when Concorde was flying but close by in a different street. Which road do you live in? The worst ares I lived in for plane noise was Barnes. It was unbearable. Had to stop conversations when they came over. Lived there for less than a year as was renting. While writing this I did hear a few distant plane noises. My Victorian single glazed windows are closed.
  10. Why does it say Olver Jonas in the title? At least get the name right if you are going to speculate about a possible closure.
  11. Umana Yana on Croxted Road SE24is a wonderful Guyanese restaurant. Has a couple of tables outside. Very close to a Brockwell Park to have a lovely picnic.
  12. Shouldn’t you make a new post about this?
  13. No, it’s not SELDOC. I think it’s only 111 that can refer you there.
  14. It’s not TJ that offer the appointments. It’s a service that is based in their building, on the first floor, that can be used by all the surgeries in the area. I cannot remember the name of it.
  15. Have you had any telephone appointments? It should be during that they decide it’s necessary to see you in person. The Gardens Surgery is supposedly one of the best GP practice around. There is also a service at Tessa Jowell Health Centre that will see patients in person who can’t get face to face appts at their own GP surgery. The surgery has to refer you. I found this info out from the TJ practice, where I am registered, and also from reading some of the other GP websites in the area. I’d contact the practice manager for help.
  16. I once had an idiot unleash his dog on the pavement on LL, near Goose Green (so extremely close to traffic) to let it rush at my dog who was sedately walking next to me on a lead. I was carrying a bag of shopping. I shouted at him. He couldn’t accept it was a stupid and dangerous thing to do, both for my dog, his dog and me. He said that he and his dog were jjust being friendly. Just one of many stories I have about dog owners without manners; common sense or critical thinking.
  17. Thanks for your reply. I wonder how it compares to Pizza GoGo on East Dulwich Grove. I became quite fond of their thin crust pizzas and they aren’t sourdough. Haven’t ordered from them for a while. Their pick up prices are very good.
  18. I received a flyer through my letter box and they are offering deals for Any Pizza, Any Size for £10.99 delivery or £7.99 collection. Can order over the phone. Was also told that any pizza on website can be ordered for that price. Has anyone tried their pizzas? They have a good selection of vegan ones. And, although not mentioned on the website, they have anchovies and tuna. Paneer is also available as a topping. 3 dips for £1.
  19. I’d like to know this too. Last time I ate out in a restaurant I got Covid.
  20. Yes, this is true. I used to feed the crows on Peckham Rye and once you feed them they never forget you and will appear almost instantly the next time you visit. I follow an account on Instagram called Crows in a Park which follows crows in a central London Park.
  21. Has happened to me in the past on Goose Green. Not recently though.
  22. Are you going to go? I’d like to know who the councillor for Tessa Jowell Surgery is.
