Looking for a carpenter to hang external facing timber glazed door including lock/handles, door furniture etc. Based on Peckham Rye. Thanks

This is for the flood alleviation works.. I do not recall the proposed site compound and out of bounds area noted on the application or on the recent letter drop correspondence. It seems excessive, splits the park up, makes access difficult and is going to make the park an unrelaxing place to be until the end of the year when the works are due to complete. Previously raised on the forum and attached photo of the extents of the compound and construction access routes. They will have a job on their hands with the remediation in the middle of winter!

Our cat pulled some mastic off the wall in the bathroom and ate it. We are with Neighbourhood Vets and have been for a few years and I called them immediately and they couldn't advise if this was harmful until I confirmed that I would pay £70 for them to ask their toxology specialist. In the heat of the moment and in the best interests of my cat I agreed. 5 mins later they phone back and said they'd spoken to their specialist and they said it was okay. I felt juped and ripped off but could rest assured that someone with some knowledge had confirmed all ok. They then sent an invoice which was paid as requested to then be followed up with some demanding chasers from the finance team shortly afterwards. Followed by an email threatening debt management. When I spoke with them they said they were having issues with their banking and that I needed to prove that I had made the payment to stop the threatening debt management emails. I declined to follow up and prove I had paid £70 for a 2min call which in hindsight I didn't agree with but had agreed to at the time. It's gone quiet so I assume their pockets have been lined with my payment. Shame they are a VC backed firm now as they used to be decent and less focused on fleecing people.

Hi all, There was a consultation back in 2018 for the proposed flood alleviation works in Peckham Rye which include new below ground drainage, bunds to the NW corner (Peckham Rye/East Dulwich Road), the 'Donley Ride' area to be 'developed' and the Norther Triangle section to be re-landscaped. The proposals have now been put forward to the Planning Inspectorate to approve the application and the information will be available until the 16th November. There have been some amendments since the original consultation but on the whole I understand why these works are being undertaken and just wanted to see what peoples thoughts were on the proposals? There are no details of when the works are likely to commence and how long they are anticipated to take which would be useful to know. we receive our post in batches, normally once a week we will get a weeks worth of post rammed through the letterbox!
