I was aware of the implication. I simply wanted a direct answer to a direct question. You response speaks volumes though. I shall leave it at that.

BTW Your Maj, the Computer did say not to hold him to his post. It's not often he makes an error. Must need re-booting. Or chucking out and replacing with a later model.;-)
-
That would make sense. Otherwise one could easily circumvent the purchase of a licence by watching everything on iplayer for example.

You haven't answered my question: was your rudeness deliberate?
-
Oh HOW lovely! Many, many, congratulations Sean and S.
-
Never again shall I doubt the powers of the Leprechaun.
-
So your rudeness towards me was deliberate?
-
Thank you DC. However, I have to say, I am a little unsettled by your patronising and sarcastic tone. I do not believe I deserved that. Any particular reason?

Hi, Again, for the benefit of those of you who don't read football threads: Re: Dulwich Hamlet at home - Sat 29/1, 3.00pm - Now Postponed Posted by: Ladymuck Yesterday, 10:49PM Hello again Griff, I just need to check. Following the last DHFC match, I visited DHFC personnel in the Board Room for the purpose of asking them whether the above meeting (Supporters' Forum) was also for the general public (including those local residents who are unhappy about the proposed building proposals), and was told yes. Please could you confirm that this remains the case. My situation is that, whilst a longstanding and loyal supporter of DHFC, I am also a local resident likely to be affected by the proposed works. I oppose the current proposals and wish to make my objections known as well as to ask questions. I also have many neighbours (some of whom are not necessarily supporters of the Club) but who would neverthless also like to attend. May we attend? Or not? Thanks. Re: Dulwich Hamlet at home - Sat 29/1, 3.00pm - Now Postponed Posted by: Griff_DHFC Today, 07:17AM Hi. the date and time has now been changed to the Wednesday 2nd February with a 7.00 pm start as this would be more convenient for all. All those with questions and concerns abouit the development are welcome to attend. Re: Dulwich Hamlet at home - Sat 29/1, 3.00pm - Now Postponed Posted by: Ladymuck Today, 08:29AM Thank you very much Griff. I hope to be there on the 2nd.

DC: your comments prompted me to re-check the Forum's "Terms of Use". Inter alia, they include: Please give us feedback and tell us your thoughts on this forum (otherwise we won't know). We would really like it if you told us you didn't like something or if something doesn't work or you think it's great... But then, as a moderator, you knew that - yes? Your comments also provoked me into viewing the "regulations of the Wanted Section" a further time. Incidentally, by those, I presume you meant the section entitled "Advice about using this Wanted section"? I have reproduced the latter here: Advice about using this Wanted section. Posted by: Administrator 29 July, 2009 21:24 If you are posting anything to do with family, children, babies etc please use the Family Room classifieds instead If you want a tradesman or business please use the Local businesses, restaurants & trades section When you post a message please make it descriptive and put: Wanted Looking for Advice wanted on or similar in the in the subject/title. E.g. do not put "Boxes" when "Boxes wanted" or "Removal boxes wanted" would be better. It makes life easier for other users and means the right people are more likely to read your message. The most frequently broken rules which result in the removal/editing of ads: - Do not type the subject title in capital letters - There has to be a connection to East Dulwich e.g. Someone from Madrid offering their holiday villa in Madrid gets deleted. - Do not repetitively post about services offered - Do not bump up posts for no reason other than to get it back to the top of the list (when 14 posts did this in one day we decided it was not right). - Please try and keep this area East Dulwich specific. Please refer to the Terms of use [www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk] for more. Thank you. -------------------- The Administrator ______________________ Help & FAQ's - Terms of use You stated a few posts back: "If you read the regulations of the Wanted section it does say that all "Lost/Found" items should be posted in there". I have to say, I cannot see this. Perhaps I am looking in the wrong section? In which case please could you direct me to the correct place. Furthermore, I came across this (on the "The Help / Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page"): 12) I think the forum should have this section/widget/colour etc to make it better / there's a mistake should I bothered to tell you? Please tell us, the world and this forum don't improve if we decide to do nothing about it. We love to hear what you think. Frankly, I am unsure where else to look.

> If you read the regulations of the Wanted section > it does say that all "Lost/Found" items should be > posted in there. I believe the thinking behind it > was that lost pets/gloves/whatever would be > "wanted" by their owners and more things would be > lost rather than found - so that's where they > should really go. PS: with due respect, I believe you are rather missing the point. The fact that posters are having difficulty knowing where to post such items, and/or are placing them in the incorrect section, suggests to me that - perhaps - the time has come for a re-think.

> Hope that clears this important matter up! There really was no need for the sarcasm. My query was a genuine one, because I care about this forum. As far as I am aware, the owner of this forum has - up until now - been keen to receive feedback/suggestions vis a vis his forum. If this situation has changed, then perhaps you could let me know.

> Op: You appear to have forgotten about BBC > Websites: weather/ news/ Kids Cbbc/ Cbeebies > amazing websites educationally. Does the licence cover the websites too? I didn't realise this:-$ I suppose that makes sense though. If you don't own a TV but watch something on iplayer for example...

Thanks for your concern Narnia. Well, I asked one of the DHFC guys if this meeting was for the general public (including local residents who oppose the planned works) and he said yes. He also said that we would be able to ask questions about the proposals. I am a loyal supporter of DHFC, but, as a resident who is likely to be affected by additional building, am NOT a supporter of this intended project. Therefore, it is my intention to attend whether they like it or not! But you have raised a valid point. I am now going to return to the DHFC thread to clarify.

Not sure how many of you would bother to look at a thread entitled: "Dulwich Hamlet at home - Sat 29/1, 3.00pm - Now Postponed", so I have cut and paste a post which is pertinent to this matter: Re: Dulwich Hamlet at home - Sat 29/1, 3.00pm - Now Postponed Posted by: Griff_DHFC Today, 04:48PM The Supporters' Forum encompassing details of the proposed car park development is intended to be rescheduled for this coming Tuesday after the Horsham YMCA game. However it is understandable this may not be convenient for some people. If people are happy for this to go ahead at a later date on a Saturday could you let me know? If you wish for this to take place on a Saturday: click here and post accordingly.

Thanks for the link OD. Interesting stuff. I wish I had the time to really get my teeth into this area of Irish Politics. Alas I can barely keep up with what's happening over here. Ahem, you are very cynical, if I may say so. As bad as Mick Mac. Dearie, dearie me.;-)

Oh Crikey...ahem...just realised...somehow sent it as a PM to some poor soul. Sorry Sean/Admin. Apologies to unsuspecting poor soul too.:-$ -------------------------- > Emm..........can we have the website of the said > Hotel. I'd like to examine all the evidence before > saying anything else! You bloody well cannot! Remember this: What if an anonymous guest (past or present) gains access to hubby's room and steals his valuables - including a large wad of cash left lying around? A dishonest person at the other end of the email conversations (or even a third party 'sniffing' the email server's traffic) could set up a burglary on demand - the victim wouldn't be able to prove anything.

Interesting comment Narnia...I've just had a "found mitten" (posted in "GE" section) re-directed to the "Wanted" section. Seems a bit weird...I mean, I don't understand the logic. Funny really, because for a little while I had lost the very mitten that I had earlier found (if you get my drift...ah never mind...). Anyway, I am wittering away here, when all I am trying to say is: perhaps it is time for a Lost/Found Section to be set up? Thanks as always Admin. PS: no hurry DC.

What's happened to my post? Sean? Admin?

Yes, it really is a toughie SS: it's driving me insane in fact. Will definitely get hubby to at least get a date out of them in respect of the cleaner's visit. Are seriously thinking of simply leaving one week's dosh too, Hibbs. It will end up costing hubby more for his lodgings, but the more risk management (as per HAL) measures are in place, the more likely hubby will be willing to leave the dosh in the room (I would still like to trust - call me a mug, but it's just the way I'm made I'm afraid). Mick Mac, you and my hubby would get on well: a couple of untrusting cynics LOL! Now to "work" on hubby***. Decision has to be made tonight as payment due tomorrow. Thanks for all your contributions. They really do help. ***Does that answer your question Narnia?:))

> For your info LM, I was reading today that if FG > wins the election they will reverse the cut to the > MW. Well that's interesting...may FG win then (not that I know much about what else they have to offer)! But their proposal to reverse says a lot about this crazy, shortsighted - not to mention regressive - cut. You haven't the link to the article, by any teeny weeny chance? Thanks BTW. PS: edited to say: welcome back OliviaDee
