  1. No it's the last episode of the series. Will be shown on BBC1 on Sunday but you can download now.
  2. Excited to see the lovely Rivoli ballroom and not so lovely St George's a Walk in Croydon feature in the last episode
  3. Snakefilth you sound charming (not). Have a biscuit (or perhaps you are a troll). Most people do not want to see large ugly bins in our lovely open spaces - they just want residents to have some respect for their environment.
  4. I think the people affected would disagree with you snakefilth - a fire affecting several homes is pretty major. https://www.london-fire.gov.uk/incidents/2020/may/house-fire-forest-hill/
  5. The bins are being emptied daily. If the bins are full you should find another bin or take the rubbish home with you. It's not rocket science that food waste left lying around a bin will be ripped open by foxes and other wildlife and strewn by the wind etc. The people who empty the bins should not have to scour the area sweeping up detritus left by selfish anti-social idiots. It makes the park unpleasant for the majority who do the right thing.
  6. Thank you for posting this Mancity68 - that's really interesting.
  7. I went last night at about 8.30 - straight in. No queues at the checkout. Only thing I couldn't get were eggs.
  8. /forum/file.php?5,file=352172
  9. There may be less cans and bottles discarded but the amount of PPE discarded on pavements and by kerbs is disgusting. Have see blue plastic gloves and paper face masks everywhere.
  10. I thought the Eddie Marsen episode was great, my favourite by far. Loved Grandad's (David Threlfall) antics in their back garden and boys were superb. A real story told the n 15 minutes. The 'making of' show was really interesting, amazing how it was put together remotely and in such a short time. Well done all.
  11. I've enjoyed the first two episodes. Very creative, thank you for the heads up.
  12. Just watched this - absolute classic with famous faces throughout including Dot Cotton and Brian Blessed. Filmed at various locations in Peckham inc Peckham Rye Train Station and the old Dulwich Hamlet ground. Circa 1974/5
  13. I always used to put the pills in a small piece of cheese for my dog. Worked every time.
  14. Well done children of Forest Hill Road and East Dulwich who are displaying some lovely artwork in their front windows to support NHS workers and to spread a message of hope at this terrible time. Spread the word... https://www.itv.com/news/utv/2020-03-25/rainbow-pictures/
  15. There's an electrical recycling bin for small goods on Sydenham hill on opposite side to Dulwich Wood House
  16. The Honor Oak Pub, Brockley Rise have a lovely indoor greenery wall. It's huge. May be worth taking a look and speaking to one of the staff about maintenance etc.
  17. Yes, but they could be on a spring so that they close automatically.
  18. I definitely feel they have improved recently following a bad spell.
  19. Mishi Morath - Dulwich Hamlet FC Superfan
  20. Best in my opinion is always Dulwich Sports Ground - Giant Arches Rd, off Burbage Rd. Saturday 2nd. ?10 adults under 10s free. Doors 5pm, Bonfire 6pm, Fireworks 7pm. Very busy (and you can always get food and drink during/afterwards. You must purchase tickets via eventbrite beforehand (you cannot pay on the door!!) Oh, and it says no sparklers.
  21. Is it to do with this? https://www.mylondon.news/news/south-london-news/heartbreak-croydon-mums-who-lost-16132343
  22. Yes, I believe they accept all books in good condition. I have taken cookery books there in the past - no problem.
  23. Hi Daisy Your property is an additional hmo (smaller hmo for three or four persons) Mandatory hmos are for five or more unrelated persons. Most London local authorities consult with the London fire brigade and refer to Lacors guidance (google it) look at category A hmos from page 43. Single or two storey hmos usually require mains fed interlinked smoke detectors, three storey hmos require a full automatic fire detection system with a control panel. You normally need half hour fire doors throughout with intumescent strips/cold smoke seals and self closers. Best to speak to an enforcement officer at Southwark Council to be absolutely sure.
  24. Caroline - please contact Celia Hammond Animal Trust regarding the abandoned cats.
