    I love your stories!!! My dad is following in Northamptonshire (but he is a Bermondsey boy at heart) He was born in 1942 so a bit older than you but says his childhood is very similar.

    The new Co op in Nunhead Lane/Evelina Road is now open. I expect that is a very welcome addition for the residents.

    There are a couple of series of these short 10 minute films. They are very interesting, there's also a Peckham and Crystal Palace film.

    The new deli on Forest Hill Road near the post office sells coffee in China cups. Their cakes are good too.

    Just watched the first episode. I think it's a great advert for Southwark Council staff who often get a poor rap. The programme focused on some great local characters - staff and residents. It showed the pressures they are under and the difficult decisions staff have to make. I thought it was very well made and am looking forward to the rest of the series.

    In Nunhead library you could enter the lobby to return borrowed books by placing into a cardboard box - you could not enter the main library building as there were barriers across. dontbesilly - you really are very tedious, you seem to delight in making inane comments.

    Nunhead library was 'open' today - well you can make returns anyway. It didn't look like you could enter the main building.

    Southwark website says mid-July with a limited service and an announcement will be made soon.

    There is a recycling bin for small electricals on Sydenham Hill on the opposite side and before you get to the Dulwich Wood House. For toasters, kettles, hairdryers etc.
