  1. DCP is the most dangerous.Parents/Carers in cars all on double yellow & zigzag KEEP .CLEAR....DCP pay the Council for 2 parking attendants from 3-4.30....I saw 2 cars on double yellows, warden next to cars.He has been told to give them 5mins!!!Couldnt believe what I was hearing, hence it goes on.Worse at 5pm when kids have after school clubs,it's dark,no wardens & really selfish drivers....DCP have now asked for number plates...name & shame think it's the only way,as they have had countless letter requests from the school.
  2. Nice to be nice, glad you are better,no more headbuttin the shelves.Have a good day!
  3. Maybe the man thought the child was going to go straight onto the road.Seen it many times, child looking like they are not going to stop in time, and the adult is too far behind to stop them.Sorry this is what sprang to my mind when I first read this.I know the junction well, and at 3.30 there are lots of people collecting from schools. No offensive to anyone, everyone is safe, that's the main thing.
  4. Patrick would not allow it....let them try,,,
  5. Southwark Council burst into Thames water pipe at junction of Townley Rd,Greendale,East Dulwich Grove, ongoing, looks worse tday!!
  6. Mine went too,a few years ago,I haven't bothered putting one outside,it's inside now,my old one Oh No Not You Again has never been seen since,,,shits should get their own!!
  7. Leave the kids alone,,,,it's their Summer holidays!!be nice,,,every child matters,,,,even when there parents are not there,,deary me,,,,so many, selfish, people out there.,,
  8. I've seen lots of mice down in the underground tube lines over the years,,,but never seen so many big rats on platform as East Dulwich Station has,,,only in past 4 years,,,they were running around the sheltered area when I was there,,,I ran to platform,,daylight,,,I've lived here for 18 years,,it's never been this bad!!!
  9. Good to see it's staying as it is,,,,,,considering there are 6 schools actually 7 at least counting Charter, and Alleyns, lower, medium and large school drop off areas,,,we have compromised brilliantly all this time....Leave it be people,,,,thank God common sense prevailed..hip hip.
  10. It's so quiet ther now, right now,it's only at school times it's busy,,,,,like other school sites....There is no problem, just some cyclists seem to have no patience!
  11. Bottle of whisky to share!!thats what I did.Merry Christmas!
  12. Surely the cyclists could cross at the pedestrian lights,,,yes walk across the road,,,,there has already been recent adjustments and it seems much better,,,I use this route every day, used to drive, now I cycle,,it's quicker, but I do go slow and if pavement is free,I'm on it....I'm a vigilant driver and cyclist, never crashed into anyone...It's the people in control of vehicle, car, bike,,,,like dog walkers,,,some of us pick up the poo, some don't..Give and take,,,,and common sense, helps too,,,Use the Green Cross Code!!push bike across the small road!!!
  13. Yes Yeti,,,that happened to me too!! So annoying,I will not drive that route again,,as you say,,,we can all see and know the rules, but if someone in the right hand lane realizes they are in wrong lane, late, and are let in to left lane, you or me are stuck, and unfairly fined,,,,it does need adjusting, the sooner the better!!Until it does I go Camberwell Grove,Lyndhurst,to get to Peckham, once bitten, twice shy...grrr
  14. Pitches please maintained!!Community use,,,Table tennis...Basketball,,,they did say Dulwich Hospital site would provide a community sports area,,broken promises for local children,,the bats come out at night so no problem there, you can still walk down.Majority of kids would rather have structured supervised sport,or just the use of a field!Again there are plenty of parks and gardens with bats!
  15. Hootenanny ,Brixton,37 bus, brilliant mixture of live bands, most nights,Reggie, swing, calypso and the odd legend!!
