I work in this venal field of endeavour (making TV, not contract killing) so recongnise the tricks of the trade. Pip pip!

You fix the narrative and its conclusion by carefuly selecting where you place your trawl and the questions you ask in the trawl. You then "cast" the piece choosing the case studies most accurately and vividly illustrating the editorial line you've predetermined. As we've seen on here mugging is a very serious subjrct and should be treated as such. If I am wrong about the nature of this programme I will eat my own hat and yours too, Steve. Plus a portion of humble pie. But I don't think I an wrong.

  6. Where are my manners? I meant to write to say thanks for sorting out the foxes' buffet around Hindmans Rd. All offending blue bin bags are now left perched on the bins out of the reach of these vile vermin. Nice one.

  8. Nice to see you've already fixed the narrative for your "documentary" in advance Clare A. How very ITV. BBC journalists are forbidden from this sort of trawl. Arent you?

  10. Well done AM. Hope you and daughter ok
  11. Actually the more I read this post the more pssed off I get. It is outrageous that someone should feel free to threaten a woman and her daughter in this way. AM if it would help in any way I would be more than happy to come along and provide moral support if you wanted to report this. I am sure others feel the same way. Feel free to PM me
  12. Please report it to the police. The next time it could be someones two year old daughter.

If one is eating dessert on the bus, the only "healthy" accompaniment is surely creme fraiche or perhaps frozen yoghurt. If eating custard or cream, the rider/diner would be forced to get off several stops early to walk off the fattening effects. Perhaps the in-bus caterer should start doing fruit salads, now that it's summer. Mind you a pizza and beer on the long ride home on the number 12 might prove a hit.
  14. When your girlfriend bans you from using your iPhone ( or itwat as she dubbed it) for fear that you'd be on the edf rather than paying her proper attention. We broke up.

  17. Yes they are now banned from using the terrace on Sundays and bank holidays. There are some other restrictions as well. This follows complAints fron, as I understand it, one particular set of neighbours. BM are appealing.
  18. Belatedly discovered house muisc albeit the more gentle melodic end. So listening to Fsirytale by Liquideep and the sublime Fade by Solu Music

  20. Who is his rightful heir? For sheer genuine boyish enthusiasm and encyclopaedic knowledge I would nominate radio one's Zane Lowe. Stands out from the attention seekers and fakers who dominate our music airwaves.
  21. Yes my thoughts also with you.
