  4. No thanks James. You only need those places if you don't have choice or quality in the area. We already have both. Having one just for the sake of it merely renders us identical to fulham chiswick etc. Let's keep ourselves special

  10. Like rosie said shoreditch house is very relaxed and friendly with great food and chilled vibe. Actually rosie, weekends are surprisingly family friendly with a cr?che and lots of games/event for kids. Kiddy birthday parties galore. It's a much more pleasant place than soho house. Not a great fan of these clubs but shoreditch house is just terrific. If only I was still with the ex girlfriend who is a member....

  12. Modern Family, Family Guy, bothtechnical examples of fine Americam comedy. Box set wise,it's imossible to top The Wire, though The Shield comes very close. Friend has just started work on what channel four are touting as Britain's answer to the Wire. Scheduled for transmission autumn next year. Called Top Boy. You heard it here first.
  13. Anyone support the following ideas for getting traffic moving. 1. Scrapping bus lanes. 2 If they are to be maintained allowing cars carrying more than one person to use them. 3 permitting left turns at red lights ? Diamond lanes (for multi passenger cars) seem to work quite well in the US. So does the 'right turn at red light ' rule.
  14. I dont think thats the point shes making. Perhap's Im wrong. But i do'nt think so.

I like your thinking new mum! Presumably if your husband/partner is refused entry when you're all going for a family swim, you could sue too! Pain and suffering, disruption to family life etc.Kerching. (Man counts imaginary winnings....) And yeah, JB, please elaborate on someromes.

No doubt Sandperson will be along to suggest an alternative view, though. Medley, bit of a strange point about 'licencing pedestrians'. They tend to merely cross roads rather than make actual journeys along them.
  23. Just wondering why men are excluded fron swimming someromes. James ?

I am relating a personal experience - cane users can find it difficult to know when the curb ends and the road begins. The raised nobbly bit seems not to be a sufficient indication.
