Anyone know what the story is behind this pub being permanently closed?

Can anyone help me? I want to add a pic to a new thread and no idea how to do it... Also if I put a thread up how come I didn't get a red 'new'? Any help in very simple English much appreciated. This may be the wrong place to ask but seemed the chattiest section...
