  1. Great thank you both - will try the council again then, maybe they just had a bad day when I contacted them ;) Thanks and stay safe!
  2. Hi lovely neighbours- following a hospital stay I had to have injections. Needles have now been safely placed in a locked bin. - The council doesn't want them at the moment due to covid - Pharmacies that I have tried dont want/take them Does anyone know where I can dispose of them safely please? Next step is to contact the hospital again but they originally mentioned council. Thank you, Smiley
  3. Great news! Sultan is a beautiful cat!! Welcome to the area!
  4. Thanks guys - will put it on the sale section just in case! Spartacus - I don't need the content, just want to dispose of the VHS responsibility Thanks all! ☺
  5. I just found one VHS, brand new, french documentary on Grand canyon and california. Pains me to bin it. Any artist interested for a project maybe? Thanks Smiley
  6. Thanks for all your efforts doolallysally! Whereabouts did you see him on Copleston please? I just walked Copleston and Oglander and adjacent streets both sides and tried to look thoroughly everywhere but no luck. I might try again this weekend, poor kitty.
  7. I saw this poorly looking, drooling black and white cat on Oglander road, near the intersection with Muschamp road (around 4pm) It's hard to tell from the picture but he was looking very sorry. Maybe a stray? Posting here in case someone is missing him
  8. As KK mentioned, if they are issues both with mgt and maintenance - which often go in pair, I'd walk too. From your initial email, things sound a bit complicated already and might be worse once you are the owner. Ask your solicitor what they think maybe? In this process, the only one looking out for you would be him/her.
  9. Apologies I can't advise precisely either (I am with LV for my 9.5 year old cat at the moment and got this insurance 3 years ago). Just wanted to say thank you both for adopting old cats! They generally are at rescue centres following the death of their owners and deserve much love! They are generally not people's first choice, so again, thank you!
  10. Brilliant news!!! Thanks so much for all your efforts Benjcooper!!
  11. Ohh so sad to hear ! Thank you anyway cerv for helping and treating this poor cat with respect and taking the time to post here Smiley - cat owner
  12. I am pleased to report that the pigeon freed himself! Thanks for your feedback though, will try to remember these if needed again. Best Smiley
  13. Hi - there is a trapped pigeon in the wire under one of the arches in Peckham next to Warwick gardens. What can I do / who can I call please? It seems in distress. Thanks!! Smiley
  14. Down in Peckham as well. Heads up: I was on a ?29 contract (Broadband only) until end of last year. Since then VM has increased their bill slowly (a few pounds each time) until charging me ?37.50 in May (broadband only no increase in speed!). When I complained about the 30% increase they told me it was their rate now and from June their best price would be ?42!! Thieves!! To profit from the current situation is just a shame I am currently looking at other providers Good luck and stay safe!
  15. Thanks for going the extra mile for these little creatures!!
  16. THANK YOU both for going more than the extra mile for Bob/Bill !
  17. Hi lovely people - is there anywhere local (SE15/SE22) where I can drop some clothes that cannot be donated please? Ideally somewhere where the fabric can be recycled Many thanks Smiley
  18. Spotted around 5.45pm today in front of Best Western Hotel on Peckham road Was chased by a fox along busy Peckham road but cat escaped on Grummant road Very friendly cat, seemed hungry (though not skinny). Gave him/her some cat treats that I just bought and ate them super quickly Hopefully just a wanderer who will be safe at home tonight
  19. It was not my cat but my thoughts are with the owners. A massive thank you for taking care of the cat and providing him/her some comfort at the end. As a cat owner, I am grateful!
  20. Dear Forum members, What is the best place/way to convert old Video 8 camcorder tapes into either MP4 or Dvd? How much does it cost approximately? I found some old V8 tapes that would make a perfect Christmas present :) Many thanks in advance for any tips!
  21. I'd love to join you for the next curry night :)
  22. Hi all - just to tell you that I organised the home safety visit from the London Fire Brigade as Sue kindly recommended. A massive thank you!!! The firemen came earlier and were very kind and helpful (aren't they always!). They gave me precise advice on alarms (types, numbers, location..) safety route, safety tips etc. They also kindly installed their 10-year alarms in my home for free. Best service ever!! Details on how to book can be found there if you are interested: https://www.london-fire.gov.uk/safety/the-home/home-fire-safety-visits/ I hope this helps! Best Catherine x
