  1. Would highly recommend Elly Allen and team! Excellent friendly service and got some great advice. It was also helpful to have her team to install a new track and fit everything!
  2. The below organises great family/school learning events and might be interested? https://www.wildlondon.org.uk/nature-reserves/centre-for-wildlife-gardening
  3. If you have any you are no longer using would happily take it off your hands. Thanks 🙏🏻
  4. It depends on your son’s birthday I guess but…… Yama momo! Consistently delicious and excellent customer service. It’s a bit expensive but I go for their mon-thur offer (-20% off food and 2-4-1 cocktails). Enjoy!
  5. Maybe charity shop? The frame is really nice
  6. Bought a mattress with amazing reviews on the Mattressman website last year but it didn’t work for me. The exchange process was smooth and after selecting a few I went up to Stevenage 😬 for the day to try the mattresses in the shop. Best decision ever! Ended up buying a Sealy one with no reviews and I absolutely love it every single night (I have severe back issues). Mattresses are a personal thing so from my experience just make sure you try and see what your body says 😊
  7. Happy new year to all in our lovely community!
  8. There is one just outside North Dulwich station
  9. Great! Thank you both!! For future reference: Post your scrap wax (any colour, scent, size and in all types of container including glass) to: The Recycled Candle Company Unit 9 Moorland Gate Business Park Cowling Road Chorley PR6 9FE
  10. Hi! Does anyone know how to dispose of the below in the most environmental friendly way please? - worn out trainers (I heard Nike started to recycle them but they are not Nike so don’t think they would accept them) - babybel cheese wax (I don’t want to reuse it to make a candle 😉) Thank you!!!

  12. It was sorted when i was there at around 3:15pm
  13. You can fill in an online form, they’re pretty efficient https://www.southwark.gov.uk/bins-and-recycling/abandoned-bins#:~:text=You can use the online,to nearby residents and businesses.
  14. We used Anstey Horne following work done by our neighbours and they were very helpful. Maybe they could provide some guidance? Good luck. https://www.ansteyhorne.co.uk/about/team

  16. Ditto - he did a good job for me in the past. I managed to speak to him recently for a quote but despite many messages, he never called back…
  17. Good that PETA is on it but can we add our voices to the fight against this horrible practice? I’m still shocked! A petition maybe? Happy to raise to the RSPCA but don’t want to duplicate efforts. I’ve signed campaigns from RSPCA before which sends it directly to your councillor
  18. I’m now sharing my garden bin with my neighbour and so yes, hopefully it means less ugly bins on the street Brace yourselves for the future price of food waste bins!
  19. Sorry for your loss, Marnie was a very cute girl
  20. Southwark charges 20 garden waste bags for £30 and they would graciously collect them for ‘free’…. What a rip off! We’re now sharing the bin with our neighbours!
  21. This forum!!! A Southwark treasure, though appreciate the borough does not have anything to do with it 😅
  22. Thank you for your replies! I have posted them for free here
  23. I still have a few Covid test kits. I don’t believe they would catch a potential highly mutated virus now but any idea if/how those could still be useful? Or shall I just bin them? Thanks 🙂
  24. Sorry for your loss Jim
  25. Thanks NewWave, I contacted them again after your note and whoever I talked to mentioned there is neither a pick up option nor drop off points 😬 Dress for Success is however moving near Farringdon station in May and this might be an easier drop off point. Will keep looking in the meantime 😊
