I've been a patient for 28 years and have always received excellent service. Maybe I've been lucky, but my calls are always answered promptly and I've never had any problem being seen quickly where there's been an urgent need. I've always found the reception staff to be incredibly friendly and helpful, especially when on the phone. As for the doctors and nurses, I think they are all excellent. I've recommended the surgery to a number of friends, who have all moved over and been very pleased with the service. Strange how people's experiences can differ so much!

The answer phone message seems to have stopped and now the phone just rings out. I think it was pretty poor of them not notifying their patients that the refurbishment was going ahead, and then of not keeping them updated as to the situation.

Just read the following on Southwark's website: "Since the council now has the power to enforce, we consider the advisory H-bar to be street clutter and an unnecessary road marking that brings little benefit. Most dropped kerbs are very obvious and we don?t need any additional signage to point them out. We are therefore stopping the installation of H-bar markings and removing them when practicable." Interesting since the H-bar markings on Underhill have just been repainted and made even bigger!

James, To add to Penguin68's comments, the removal of the road humps in this section (if they are not to be replaced) is most worrying, since cars were already speeding at excess down the hill towards Belvoir Road. Without the humps, this will now become a very dangerous stretch of Underhill Road. I'd also like to know why the white lines, preventing parking across a driveway with a dropped kerb, have been extended to the point that it is now impossible to park between the driveways. I don't believe there have been any problems due to parking, so I'm curious to know why it's been done. Is it a revenue earning ploy (not sure if these white lines are enforceable) or has it been done for some safety reason? Any info you could glean would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Hi James, I see that Underhill Road is currently being marked up around the existing speed bumps. Are we getting new bumps or resurfacing?

Hi James Driving across Barry Road from Underhill Road has become much easier since the tapered markings were put down. However I?ve noticed that quite often there are cars (often the same culprits) parked on the markings, making it very difficult to see if there is any oncoming traffic when driving across. Is this a parking offence and if so, could we see it enforced?

I hope they don't mean the old, overgrown, wooded section. I thought they weren't going to be touching that until 2022-2040.

Whilst I'm in favour of bus lanes, I've always wondered what purpose the one on Lordship Lane serves (not being a nimby). I've never seen 2 lanes of traffic on LL during the hours when it's in operation, except right at the end before Goose Green roundabout. I've always suspected it's there for raising revenue from parking tickets.

Someone punctured three tyres on my car last night - I was parked on Underhill Road. Just wanted to warn people in the area, as I know that there was a spate of this in The Gardens earlier this year.

I've done it a few times from Forest Hill too and it's really easy. There are lifts/escalators at Canada Water and at Canning Town.

I have the same problem with a huge hairy ginger unneutered male devil cat coming in and pissing all over the house. I too tried shutting the catflap, but also came down in the morning to a hole in the door. Do you think they might be related? Are the microchipped doors any sturdier? Any advice out there on which is the best to get? That or I'll be borrowing the crossbow off RosieH...

James, I've sent you a note detailing the sighting of the men in reflective gear last week in Underhill Road.

I saw a couple of guys on Underhill Road at about midnight last night, also in high visibility jackets, carrying torches. They had screeched to a halt in their small white van - it had an emergency light on the top and some sort of logo on the side. They seemed to be rummaging around the bins. As suddenly as they arrived, they jumped in their van and drove off at speed.
