When are kids going trick-or-treating?
antijen replied to SJDproofreading's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I loved guisin, we would blacken our face wie soot fae the lum, we knew all our neighbours, no matter how many there were of you, everyone had to entertain. Often we'd get a piece in jam or a penny or so was given, then gettin hame and sharing it was the best. -
Taper, How typical for you to refer to one website I put up without checking, in fact I was going to mention it when I first posted on this thread, but thought no, lets see who will use it against me, regardless of explaining before. I am sure the workers who feel they have been damaged, do not feel they are being protected.

I sympathise with people who's career not only takes away this choice away but they themselves feel damaged by the vaccines.

http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/MoneyTaxAndBenefits/BenefitsTaxCreditsAndOtherSupport/Disabledpeople/DG_10018714 Above is link to the vaccine damage website, I cant remember the figures but through the freedom of info act, a couple of years ago there was over 5,000 claimants, appr. 1 fifth were successful. I wouldn't put my trust in the world health organisation, who argued thimeresol was safe. Absolutely agree Heidi Hi, individuality can be a great teacher but unfortunately, as you've experienced, they don't listen. My main concern, especially with the recent pandemics, that the choice will be taken away from us as individuals. I also think people are entitled to decide (especially childrens vaccines) whether or not they wish to use them.

Agree with you Jah, that smoking weed does not cause mental illness, and I believe that since skunk became available smokers, especially younger ones, seem more addicted. I've never thought of cannabis as highly addictive, as say tobacco, but I think skunk has changed that.

People who lose sight of there opinion because of the need to prove they are right, pisses me off, impossible to have a conversation, they often dont listen. In fact (a reality and my opinion) when Ive pointed out they are not listening, they carry on. Not noticing I've left to search for the moon.

antijen replied to millsa's topic in The Family Room Discussion
1st was 8 days late 2nd was 8days late, but midwife thought 1day late, as decided to give false date of last period after what i felt to be unnecessary panic about time. Did this with all next births. 3rd was 15days late 4th was7days late 5th was on date, midwife thought 1 week early. -
I,d like to be 20mins ahead of time, then head to the bookies.

Ratty, I'm sorry, I did misread your post, and I now understand after your experience with the squatters who were violent towards you. I think it is unfair that some posters have tried to accuse the GGS of being threatening, implying they would resort to violence.
-
Ratty, would that be the same houses that lay empty for years in Windsor Walk, a disgrace. What would you do if it was the same people, you'd better watch out you'll have someone accusing you of being violent. GGS maybe you should get in touch with Ratty if you're evicted, he seems to have a good understanding of the homeless situation. Welcome to the manor.

The boy and his microscope: interpreting section 56(1) of the National Health Act Donrich Willem Jordaan Abstract This article looks at the classic conflict between freedom and propriety with reference to the use of human gametes (sperm and egg cells) in the South African law. The core question that is addressed is whether it is legal to use one?s own gametes, or other?s with their consent, for non-medical, non-sexual-intercourse purposes. This question is answered divergently by the two possible interpretations of the relevant statutory law, section 56(1) of the National Health Act, which is formulated ambivalently. Since these two possible interpretations are representative of the two poles of the freedom-propriety conflict, this matter can be perceived as a test of the depth of South African law?s commitment to the principle of freedom. Section 56(1) is analysed using the applicable common law presumptions, as well as human rights. To illustrate the practical implications of these analyses, a hypothetical case study of a boy who studies sperm cells under his microscope at home is sketched and used throughout the article. The analyses conclude that the interpretation must be followed that answers the core question in the affirmative (in favour of freedom), namely that it is indeed legal to use one?s own gametes, or other?s with their consent, for non-medical, non-sexual-intercourse purposes. Birth And Power by Wendy Savage
antijen replied to peckham_mum's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi peckham mum, not great with internet, so cant follow the story, I'm assuming Wendy Savage was a whistleblower (shakes at the mention of that word on this forum) the system of dealing with people who put there jobs on the line is unjust, and it is a long battle often people losing there houses. I absolutely believe woman should have a choice of where they wish to give birth and not be intimadated or made to feel a bad mother because of your choice. -

Advice on poorly baby - alternative treatments?
antijen replied to shellbear's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi Shellbear, I know echinacea can be given to children, but I'm not sure if your baby is to young, it may also depend on the weight of your baby, this herb helps the immune system, Burning eucalyptus oil will help. I used to give my children mullein, a weak infusion, there are many different herbs that help, theres nothing worse than watching your baby suffer, I hope she/he is back to good health soon
