Why capitalise the "Capitalise"? For my money it's not a proper noun. For your ranting to gain an ounce of my respect you should at least use the language properly. My opinion: I pay tax like everybody else and this seems money well spent to me. It's much more useful than the speed humps they construct randomly across our borough.

The problem with going via Jamaica Rd is that at some point you have to do a right turn onto it, which can be a real pain. I often go around the top of Rotherhithe. It's longer but there's never on ounce of traffic and you whizz right into the tunnel. Keep that nice and quiet though - it's a secret :) I'm still dubious about being able to get to the airport for 8 am in 45 minutes!
  3. I would budget more than 45 minutes myself. I drive from ED to East India Dock (on the A13 about 2 miles shy of the airport) every morning. I leave home at 7.20 and get to work at 0800. That's on an average day with no problems. On Thursday last week the same journey took an hour and a half because someone had broken down in the tunnel. I'd budget some extra time for heavy traffic. PS Which way do people who think it can be done in 45 minutes go? I'd thought I'd found the quickest routes after 6 years of trying!
  4. Useful that. I saw someone driving a car up Lordship Lane this afternoon. He/she may or may not have driven along Fellbrigg Road. I'm afraid I couldn't give a description of either the driver or the car because as usual I was in a world of my own. A classic post.

Personally I like the package to involve me not hitting anybody else and nobody else hitting me. That's why we have driving tests, surely.

Am i right in thinking if you're pregnant you can't take the antibiotics? that's not good news for expectant mothers is it! Pregnant or not, an antibiotic isn't going to do much good against any form of flu, what with it being a virus.
  7. Any chance an admin can get this thread back on track?!
  8. I do hope so. If I knew an ounce of how to run a restaurant I'd buy it myself. I love their food!
  9. Nooooooooooooooo!! Hisar can't close. It can't. It can't. It can't. That is the one restaurant on LL that I return to time and time again. For quality and price the food cannot be beaten. I'm truely gutted. Where can I get my fix of Beyti from when it goes? Anybody got the inside track on when it is due to close?
