Morning all, just giving my fundraising efforts a little boost as seems to have stalled a bit in the hope that people will feel in the Christmas giving cheer! Once again I am really so grateful for any donations and desperate to have this surgery ASAP. I have tried emailing around Dulwich businesses, Woman's hour as suggested before, BBC local news but not had much success so am open to more suggestions too as how I could try and get more coverage and donations. Hi Azalea, thank you for this! Yes I’ve reached out to BBC London but if you or people of this forum have any other ideas / connections I’d be very interested to hear them! Obviously Southwark News picked up on it but would like to raise more awareness of the condition and my fundraising for treatment. and yes it is very sad as I love being a nurse & midwife and am very keen to get back to it but feel frustrated that I have been failed by the NHS at my time in need.

Thank you! I'll see if professional aid can help. A lot of the nursing bodies only give grants to qualified nurses, not students sadly but will see what else I can find. Thanks so much for your help.

Hi IlonaM, thank you so much for reaching out! I have tried Turn2Us and have had varying success with some grants - a lot of the time I have found that they don't support students, even though I am a student nurse who received a bursary and not a student loan (the whole system changed recently) which means I don't receive very much money for my training compared to student loan receivers but, in terms of grants applications, I am still seen as a student - hope that makes sense! I'll keep trying though... Thanks for your advice!
