  1. Hi Alan Thanks for raising this. I?ll look into it right away. Best wishes James
  2. Hello all Thanks a lot for all the posts on here over the past few days. On the two substantive issues raised: -- Tree felling on St Francis Park I have directly messaged northernexile, who raised this first, but for the sake of everyone else: this park falls into Champion Hill ward, and not Goose Green. The local councillors there are Peter John (Peter.John@southwark.gov.uk) and Sarah King (sarah.king@southwark.gov.uk). I have no doubt that they will be happy to look into this if you email them. I would not like to tread on their toes by acting on it myself. -- Bulky waste collection Thanks for raising this Cora. JohnL and rendelharris have already raised the important points about these charges have become common across London boroughs (with many charging a lot more), and about the political context of massive cuts to local authority funding from the Conservative-LibDem and Conservative governments since 2010. I won't dwell on this any further as I do not want to overly politicise the thread. Feel free to contact me by email if you want more information on the subject. My email address is James.McAsh@southwark.gov.uk I have looked up the second issue of not being able to alter your booking once you have made it. This seemed odd to me but when I looked it up I discovered that when you make your booking the crews and vehicles are allocated to your order, and that subsequently altering your order comes with a cost to the council. In the current financial climate this sadly cannot be absorbed. I hope that this is helpful for you Best wishes James
  3. Dear all I am one of the local councillors for the Goose Green, which encompasses this area . I have contacted the original poster to follow up on this issue but if anyone else wants to get in touch with me then please feel free to email me on James.McAsh@southwark.gov.uk Best wishes James
  4. Hello all, I'm James McAsh. I'm one of the three newly elected Labour councillors for Goose Green ward, along with Victoria Olisa and Charlie Smith. I wanted to introduce myself to the East Dulwich Forum community, and to thank everyone who voted in yesterday's local elections. I know I speak for Victoria and Charlie as well when I say that it is a true honour and privilege to have your trust placed in us. Regardless of whom you support politically, or whether you vote at all, we three Labour Councillors for Goose Green are keen to do whatever we can to help. If you want to raise something with us then you can do any of the following: - Email: James.McAsh@southwark.gov.uk, Victoria.Olisa@southwark.gov.uk, Charlie.Smith@southwark.gov.uk - In person at a surgery on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month at 7pm at East Dulwich Community Centre, Darrell Road - On this thread! In general, we are able to deal with things quicker if you are able to provide: - Your address (or the address/location of where the issue relates) - A brief outline of the problem - Any communication you have already had with the council regarding the issue - For longstanding issues, a brief timeline of event - Photos, where relevant Best wishes James
