  1. For anyone who wants to do something about irresponsible dog owners (notice I'm focussing on the owners not the dogs), PM me and I'll give you some e-mail addresses to complain to. I teach my children that dogs on leads are with responsible owners, but pitbull types (you know the ones) not on the lead because 'they're my baby init' I teach them to beware of. Sound reasonable? In return I would ask dog owners to not let their dogs into children's play areas, and keep them on a lead if a sign says so, and pick up the poo wherever they do it. Sound fair? Thank you
  2. Just to add, my daughter is going there from september. I was really reticent but now I've met the teacher, the headmistress, the other mums and one of the governors I feel much much better. I was told that they've had a stable board of governors for over 18 months now and that they are really turning the place around.
  3. Hi all I've just been doorstepped by APEX PROMOTIONS. It was a young girl with dark hair. She was white but with olivey skin and she was very persistent/aggressive. This company sound same as Andura Guard. I have found a warning about them on a Hayes website with instructions to phone Trading Standards. Do not give out any details, just tell them to go away! Number for Southwark Trading Standards is 020 7525 2000 Keep 'em peeled!
  4. Hurrah - just found the proper Nunhead Forum - see yer
  5. Okay - I would love to have a Nunhead forum. But has nobody noticed people moving into Nunhead who can't afford to live in East Dulwich but still hang out there? Has nobody seen how many East Dulwich kids are being forced into Nunhead schools? And why is it, when I searched for Nunhead forum, google pointed me straight back to East Dulwich. And why don't Ed'ers want Nunhead issues on this forum? How about you all go to your own park cafe in Dulwich park and leave the Peckham locals to have our new(ish) lovely cafe to ourselves? Oh, wait a minute, that sounds petty and pointless doesn't it!!!
  6. I used to live in The Gardens, and cabbies used to say "this is nice for Peckham". Now I live in Nunhead it's "where's that". When I say I live in SE London I get "but there's no tube" to which my response is "I know, bloody marvellous!!" As for describing where Nunhead is, try saying it's wedged between Peckham and New Cross.
  7. Hmm. Think I might find myself morbidly drawn to it rather then hiding them in with the offers of pilates.
