The building and facilities are amazing and I am sure discipline will improve with the new Management/ Head Teacher as she will be managed by the Executive Head who has implemented strong discipline in Charter North.

Deleted initial post. I see I got a bit imagination and made a movie out of it. I am glad they managed to resuscitate the man and hope he is recovering well in hospital. Hope the lady that was in Barry Rd is doing OK too. Strange that the two incidents happened so close together at the same time and were not related.

I don't have a child at Charter East nor at Charter North; however by talking to other parents I don't think is on par with Charter North; academically and in terms of dealing with issues Charter North is quite efficient; I believe it is not the same at Charter East; however I believe things will improve with the new Head Teacher.

I wish this was the case. I think primary schools are getting unsubscribed in Dulwich as there are 3 new primary schools that opened in the last few years: The Belham, Harris Primary School, Judith Kerr. Not sure if there are more. I think there are more primary school places around Dulwich for the number of secondary school places. I think we are still short of state secondary school places sadly. Depends on what sort of environment you want your child to grow in. Alleyns is an excellent school but It is not for everyone. Can you perhaps arrange a visit and see both schools? which one you and your child will feel more comfortable?

I do not think Charter North Dulwich stagger lunch breaks; Glad to hear Charter East Dulwich does as I can't imagine all those children out at the same time in such a small space. The sibling policy really needs to be removed in Secondary school. Agree with Duncan, it is not good that local children have to travel miles for another school when children from other areas are commuting to our local schools. Just look at how many children get bus or train and you will find out which ones do not live locally. It is sad that even with a new school of 1,700 children we still do not have enough secondary school places in Dulwich.

Also, Why is the Head Teacher of Charter East Dulwich moving?

Does anybody know if Charter East Dulwich Stagger lunch times? I can't imagine more than 1,500 kids trying to get lunch at the same time. I have heard it is nearly impossible in Kingsdale with 2,000 kids, also very difficult in Charter North Dulwich unless you want to miss the whole break queuing.
