  6. Having read the Kenneth Williams diaries, there is no way on earth I would want to keep a diary. His were so full of gloom and despondency it put me off for life!!

  11. We've been won the title three times in better style than most teams manage in a lifetime from 1998 to now, whilst Tottenham have won precisely no, none, zilch, zip, nada, zero, titles in the same period. A Spuds fan preaching style to the present Arsenal side is laughable.
  12. Winning a tophy in recent times is somthing Spuds can't afford, and have no right, to sneer at.
  13. I met Rocky Rocastle on Forest Hill station many times in the 80's when he lived in the area and used the train to go to the training ground. What a gentleman he was, genuinely grounded and a lovely guy. Oh Rocky, Rocky.............

I agree, but it's those that are in a position to offer him work that feel he's too old school, which, as you say, is a shame.
  16. Real Levis at a sensible price, ?40, try the army surplus shop opposite Surrey Quays, best price I've found in the last 10 years.

I think he's considered to be a bit too old school by many, and also a bit long in the tooth. Nonetheless, we gooners have a lot to thank him for.
