  1. My hubby and I were rushing through the store the other day and picked up a couple of packets of basics...This morning whilst changing our little girl we noticed some lumps in some of the balls...one of them nearly pricked my finger and we discovered a substantially long splinter inside...!! Have complained to customer services though still somewhat surprised to say the least ::o
  2. Thanks again all for your comments. As always you're very helpful :)
  3. Hi Mums, My little girl is now two months old and growing and gaining weight beautifully (fingers crossed) I am breastfeeding her exclusively...Recently someone mentioned I should be giving her juices/herbal tea/water with glucose...??? Isn't she too young? What are your views please? I was going to continue with breastmilk alone untill weaning time... Thanks in advance!

  5. This is brilliant ???? and very interesting too...;o I often wonder why boys ballet in particular is somewhat icky...both my brother and I started when we were 6 and made our living out of ballet and wouldn't change it for anything else. Though I firmly believe my brother was always treated 'better' for the very reason of being a boy! I can assure you there is nothing sissy or girly about male ballet dancers, in fact there is a reason (Here, here Fuschia) why footballers, baseball players, rugby players etc...are attending ballet classes. My hubby is a tap dancer and always says that to be a ballet dancer one must be fitter than an athlete... I am not too sure but perhaps all boys classes (including male teacher) would be the answer...when i was in my ballet school girls and boys classes were separate... My hubby teaches boys tap and the classes are very popular. Anyhow, I hope he enjoys it and has fun! And same for yours JessM ;)
  6. I too am re enforcing what Saffron said. My two "girls" are both now 7 and have the very same thing...nothing to worry about. I guess it's just one of those post neutering side effects...;)
  7. ...and it all got slightly confusing ;O I do not wish to get chemical happy really (love this term JessM)...trying my best to avoid it at all costs where possible. And I really appreciate your point Molly re harshness on fabric, wasn't aware of the damage it can cause... It is my first and to be honest I wasn't going to let the arrival of baby E&K change my life upside-down too much, and (in this case) stick to my usual detergent + soda and then I read Gina Ford
  8. Thanks Mums! I'll get two boxes for now (at this stage baby number two is not crossing my mind yet ;o) and stick to it to begin with... :)
  9. Wow! that's brilliant, thanks ;)
  10. Hello Mums, I have another question...do you use Napisan? Shall I start stocking up or is there an alternative worth knowing about... 4 weeks left now (fingers crossed);o Thanks in advance!
  11. Wow! Thanks Mums...;O Ok, so we'll try to go without, to begin with then, see if we can bear the "sweet" smell of my newborn's poop! Having up to 28 nappies in one bin(this is the amount of nb size nappies that apparently can be stored) is rather overwhelming so with Ryedalema on this one AND can only imagine the eyes watering whiff whilst emptying it as Jennyh mentioned... I shall report back in a few weeks time if all goes to plan. Thank you all again ;)
  12. Hello! I have another question... I cannot find any threads on this so could anyone share their opinion on nappy tubs such as Sangenic etc...? Worth having or is it just another gadget one can go without...? I have under 6 weeks left before baby E&K is due and this is one of the things i just cannot decide on. Thanks in advance ;)
  13. Thanks again ;-) See you later Ryedalema!!!
  14. Thank you ladies! Helps a lot! I have to admit I do hear much more positive things about King's...(not so much about the parking there!)and so we are going to visit on Thursday (fingers crossed) and that should be it...hopefully ;o
  15. Wow!That's great to hear. Thank you! ;)
  16. Great thanks. Yes, meant former Mayday in Croydon....:o
  17. Hi Ya! I'm 30 weeks and still struggling with the decision...where?? I know there is plenty written (good and bad) about both in previous threads, however could I ask you for literally one word suggestions if you would...I would really like a water birth. Thanks in advance! :-)
  18. Brilliant! I'm 28 weeks and sure it will become useful...Thanks ;o
  19. Hi! Does anyone know of one locally? Many thanks!
  20. Thank you everyone for taking the time to reply and offer so much information. We will check out all suggestions x
  21. Hi all, We are expecting our first baby, due in August and really need advice on which pushchair to buy. Living in London and a one bedroom flat, we need something practical, lightweight and for a newborn through to three years of age. We have our eyes on the Buguboo Chameleon, it's quite pricey and we are not sure if we would be paying for the brand and the novelty of being able to mix and match colours. Can anyone advise us on other makes and models of a lower price that you have had a good experience with, that are just as practical and well made, with the two settings from a carry cot into a chair. Thank you!
