Exactly the same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago! I crossed the road in front of a white transit van as it was approaching the junction of Darrell and Underhill Road and, as it passed, something whizzed past my shoulder, leaving some white residue on my coat. It was going quickly, so I presumed it was a stone kicked up from under the van's tyre. I looked over at the van and there were three unconcerned-looking chaps sitting in the front seats, but I was left wondering if they had thrown something at me. I will report this to the police using the crime reference number posted above but, UncleBulgaria and James Barber, if you could post a police phone number to call that would be helpful!
