  1. Gerrard was sent off for a similar tackle at Old Trafford in the FA Cup this season. Like I said, it should have been 10 v 10, so no complaints from me.
  2. If thats the pic I've seen on another forum, it has been photoshopped. Nani walked out of Anfield, so lets not make mountains out of molehills.
  3. Carra should have been sent off for his tackle today, but in my opinion he wasn't because of the way Nani conducted himself. Jumping around after the ref and throwing himself to the floor like there was a sniper in the Kop. The boy who cried wolf? Fair result I think. And if we're talking about sending players off it should have been 10 v 10 after that two footed lunge. I wonder if Mr Ferguson will be fined for blanking the press. I thought it was part if the rules that you had to do a post match press conference?

  5. He posted an opinion about last night's game which wasn't "derogatory, insulting or inflammatory" yet you decided to respond in the way you did (knowing full well it would get a reaction). Then everyone else jumps on board and has a go. I don't really see that as fair and as I've said before, it reminds me of play ground bullying to be honest. But there we go.
  6. No he doesn't. People in this thread do and then he responds and then everyone acts outraged.
  7. So EC posts his opinion about last night's game, is immediately referred to in a derogatory way, he responds and then everyone jumps on the bangwagon having a go at him.

    Tortoise

A mate of mine used to have two males tortoises. They were always humping each other - it was hilarious.

I'm going to buy the DVD now. When's that bit - I have never noticed it?

The bit where she is on the ceiling really freaks me out.
  11. Shhh Keef. Irrespective of the competition - it makes for good holidays. And to reiterate ????'s point. It really pisses me off when people seem to think that the top flight didn't exist before the Premiership. Whatever did everyone do on a Saturday before Sky invented this wonderful game.
  12. Thanks to Dirk, this is where we're playing our next Euro away. http://www.interestingworldfacts.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/most-strangest-stadiums-in-the-world-braga-stadium.jpg Should be a belter of a trip.
  13. Why did he do it though? (I've always quite fancied Gattuso :-$)
  14. Our youth team beat Southend 9-0 in the FA Youth Cup tonight. A lad called Raheem Sterling scored 5 superb goals. A name to watch for the future?
  15. When we played Spurs at Anfield last season, it was not long after the tax story had broken. A couple of us emailed George Sephton (the voice of Anfield) to request that he played "Taxman" by the Beatles at half time. He came on over the tannoy and mentioned that he'd had a few requests for a particular song, but had just reaslised it would be inappropriate, so here's a song from the same album. He played "Got to get you in to my life" instead. It was great that he acknowledged our request, but it would have been even better if he'd played it. Anyway, small things....
  16. Better than an 8-0?
  17. I've reported a driver for refusing to take me home before. There were 4 of us, we were in the City wanting to get to East Dulwich at about 10pm. The response I got was that they could do nothing, but it would be marked on his records. IF they get 5 complaints logged against them then they get investigated/warned. I don't like being a grass and if he's well within his rights to ask me for a deposit then fair enough. I just thought he was very unreasonable.
  18. Well, I did stand my ground and refused to get out until he gave me his licence number. We argued for about 5 minutes and then he screeched off to the police station with me in the back. When we got there, there was no one on the desk. I was really angry at the time as it was about 12.30am and I just wanted to get home and not be walking around the streets of Victoria trying to get a taxi. I'm unsure whether to report him or not. Had he have been polite in his request I might have been more obliging but I get the impression he just didn't want the fare.
  19. Are Hackney taxi drivers allowed to ask you for a deposit before commencing a journey? I had a bit of an issue on Sunday night trying to get home from Victoria. I hailed a cab, jumped in and asked the driver to take me to Peckham Rye. He was very rude and demanded a deposit. I had the cash on me, but refused to give it to him as I've been ripped off by hackney cabs before, as some of them chose to take the long way round. I felt that if he had my money in advance then I had no come back. Because I refused, he told me to get out. Anyone know if he was within his rights to do this?
  20. ....two elephants walk off a cliff...... Personally for me, I'd be quite annoyed with my club if they did that. Irrespective of your locality, football clubs should be local institutions providing jobs etc, for those in the surrounding area. I know that when Liverpool were looking at the new stadium a big fuss was made when it was mentioned that the builders would be from a company that wasn't local. I know it's not exactly the same, but being a traditionalist when it comes to these things, I just think it's a shame.
  21. I thought we were talking about moving offices to over 200 miles away? Are you talking about new stadiums now? The new Anfield would still be in the Anfield Road/Walton Breck area though Keef. We just be a bit closer to Everton.
  22. Still in the same City though Jah. Any club having their office over 200 miles away does seem a bit daft.
  23. I'm a little bit smiley this morning. 3 of the best strikers on the pitch yesterday and only one shot on goal. "He should have stayed at a big club".
  24. No offence SP but I'm sure if you'd brought it up we'd have respected it
