  1. Will Save Southwark Woods / Friends of Camberwell Cemeteries be backing their friends in UKIP in the general election?
  2. Blanche, why does Lewis want to know people's personal details on Twitter? To What end? and before you say you can't speak on his behalf (not that you'll say anything) he does post directly from the @SSW account too, yes?
  3. I don't think it's helpful to criticise individuals and their erratic behaviour on here. EDF have a reporting mechanism, and if anyone is bullying or telling lies, they get banned. We're all still here so make of that what you will. SSW/FOCC are a bit like Corbyn led Labour; no-one is really against the general principles - it's how they've been managed and promoted that's the issue.
  4. OK, we can add all the residents for Lewisham to the mix too; how does that make 347 look better? If you want to argue that people outside of a certain catchment area are not concerned with the issue then 'bingo!' You're also presuming that even if they didn't object in writing they object in spirit, which is equally as nebulous
  5. Our views don't count because we're a small number? Really? You want to go down that path?
  6. 347 people objected to the plans (for the sake of the argument let's say they all live in Southwark) 288,283 live in Southwark (census data 2011) Well over 99 per cent of residents have no objections to the plans.
  7. Blanche and SSW won't answer direct questions on here but want to know the 'real' identity of people? I can see why SSW / FOCC get on so well with UKIP now.
  8. In case you missed them, Blanche... 1. Why have SSW/FOCC associated with far right groups on social media? 2. A question was raised by UKIP at the London Assembly the other week; you chose not to publicise it when you generally RT every comment that backs your point of view - why was this? 3. FOCC - who is the chairman of the friends group, how were they elected and how can the public join and steer this group? and now with added.. 4. Will you condemn Lewis for organising a witch-hunt against people who disagree with him on this forum?
  9. Blanche, Your latest SSW 'press release' is a list of questions you demand the council and church answer. Regular readers of this forum will appreciate the irony given you've refused to answer any questions on here. The fact you've not copied and pasted as per usual suggests you know you're on dodgy ground. If you are keen for transparency and honesty you can answer these questions and any others that are raised 1. I'm sure other regular readers of this thread will have questions that you'll be happy to answer in public here.
  10. Blanche, before and after comparison photos at least need to be shot from the same angle. You've juxtaposed random shots of greenery with photos of the work in progress.
  11. Southwark get permission to 're-use' private graves (and it is expected) - the memorials of the better off will be removed, the dead dug up and the grave deepened You say removed when it's more likely to be just moved to elsewhere in the cemetery.
  12. Southwark Council is risking disturbing the graves of London?s poorest people in Camberwell Old Cemetery including possibly the graves of First World War soldiers. So the graves aren't being disturbed and the ones that aren't being disturbed possibly don't include WWI graves?
  13. "We believe" "including possibly" - really? Until you read the diocese decision the Friends of Camberwell Cemeteries didn't even know there were war graves in the area.
  14. Blanche, your dogwhistle campaign to attract the far right to your cause after having the door closed in your face by all other support groups is far more disrespectful of the people who died for our freedom than anything the council could do. As the Friends of Camberwell Cemeteries you should be ashamed.
  15. Why why you answer questions on here? For a group that have tried to make a big thing of transparency, you seem to be avoiding speaking on the record
  16. Should we start asking questions via email or Twitter? Perfectly reasonable questions are constantly ignored - yet they demand action and explanations from everyone else.
  17. Blanche, I know you were busy posting pictures of trees using unfortunate phrasing during yesterday's atrocities in London but you've forgotten to RT the UKIP support in the London Assembly from the morning; odd you missed it - it's got the hashtag #SaveSouthwarkWoods and everything. Here's the link again in case you missed it https://twitter.com/UKIP_Assembly/status/844531695328120834
  18. Blanche, if you're worried about muslims in London generally could you ask your UKIP friends to tone down their rhetoric? They probably won't need as many graves if you did that.
  19. Normally @savesouthwarkwoods RTs all praise and support in double quick time - nearly three hours ago UKIP posted their support in the London Assembly for the group and yet they haven't acknowledged it; any reason? Considering news updates are coming in almost daily from Blanche and Lewis I can't see why their case being heard in the London Assembly wouldn't get promoted and sent to the papers, Private Eye, Bianca Jagger, etc. https://twitter.com/UKIP_Assembly/status/844531695328120834
  20. Blanche, you and Lewis hold most people on this thread in low esteem, you don't engage with anyone and now you've aligned yourself with far right groups - Less EDF, more EDL
  21. That's odd because they were most concerned about Jewish burials a couple of weeks ago.
  22. Save Southwark Woods thanking UKIP for their support
  23. With all this legal knowledge and certainty that they have the law on their side, why haven't SSW been able to make anything stick? The council were discriminating, the council isn't abiding by planning permission, and so on.
  24. Have SSW checked the legal situation with refusing burial plots to non-locals? Considering the steep price increases if you're from outside the borough I'm guessing this is the best way to dissuade people from afar being buried in the area... Also suggesting it was being targeted at dead bankers so their remains could face Canary Wharf was in poor taste.
  25. Tin foil hats at the ready Is [the council] chainsawing One Tree Hill for new burial plots so they can offer foreign bankers a view of Canary Wharf in death?
