  1. I just don't get the opposition to this scheme. Take the word "cycle" away from this and isn't this something we all want. Reducing the number of cars rat-running along residential streets. Indeed pretty much all of the roads impacted already have some form of traffic calming in place.
  2. I looked at the scale of the scheme and was underwhelmed. No "huge cycle lane" is proposed at all. Here's the map https://consultations.tfl.gov.uk/cycling/lambeth-q7-wd/user_uploads/quietway-7-elephant---castle-to-crystal-palace.pdf please tell me which buses run along the route that will be impacted. Also are you willing to disclose who you are and what your interest in opposing this scheme is? I very much doubt that as a "pedestrian" you be against something which If successful may result in a decrease in car usage and thus making it more pleasant for pedestrians?

That didn't take long. Lol - its like Godwin's Law. I was surprised this thread lasted as long as it did before the real menace was invoked ;>

Is this to reduce emissions though? Or just to reduce collisions and to stop killing people when they get run over?

  6. My neighbors got done on Friday, wont name road for obvious reasons but we're just off of east Dulwich grove. He only popped out to pick the kids up from school.
  7. Eh, I cycle up Adys road pretty much every day. I would say of all the roads in the area it's one of the least difficult (not discounting the slight climb). It has traffic calming and I've not seen any cars speeding etc. intexasatthe moment Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Please not a cycling route down Adys Rd . 9. I have to say that traffic calming work on East Dulwich Grove does seem to have worked. Cars speeding through the zebra crossings whilst pedestrians were on them used to be common.

Why should cyclists dismount? They have as much right to use the road as other road users. I doubt you'd advocate smaller cars taking different routes to allow faster/bigger cars to use a motorway.
  11. Spider69 the problem is not the nervousness of cyclists but the dangerous maneuvers of car drivers. I'm a very confident cyclist and use that junction every day but if a car decides to turn across me what am I supposed to do?
  12. Have a read of their history http://www.evanscycles.com/help/about-evans-cycles whilst yes they are a chain they started in South East London so something of a local success story.
  13. You can carry on using your Sky box for freesat and these are the channels you'll get http://www.sky.com/shop/freesat/home/what-can-i-watch/ If you want to record you will need to get a card from SKY and I think they are around ?10 a month or something like that.

  15. I find the whole thing distastefull and am going out of the country for 2 weeks.
  16. WHo cares, you want rid of your stuff, they come round and take it. I've offered stuff for free on here and just give it to whoever posts first. If you start worrying about it you'd never get rid of anything.
  17. Why can't someone open a decent mens clothes shop?
  18. I went a couple of years ago. Was a bit boring tbh. I spent most of my time in the Southern Comfort tent listening to the dj's. Now the Bloc Weekend at butlins this year, that was a festival!
  19. Saw it this morning very cool. Can we have a Wolf in ED please? Maybe have it pushing a pushchair or something equally ED.
  20. my mate Pete always signs off emails with "retards Pete" instead of regards.

  22. Didn't try the food but was gutted they got rid of the dart board. The new conservatory does look good for the summer though.

Lol Think you should do one about men in parks. Everyone knows men in parks are up to no good especially when alone. Parks are for the fairer sex, children and animals.

    BBC news

I can't watch it in the morning any more. My two biggest isues are the constant animal/pet stories and the fact that every story has to have the reporter going to a place that symbolises the story cos the viewers are to thick to understand a story about supermarkets unless the reporter is standing outside one! When Dermot Murnaghan and Natasha Kaplinsky were on I nearly smashed my telly up. Gormless twats! and breathe.....
