  1. Tw@t yourself. Essential player for England, even more so in the shorter form of the game.
  2. maybe you could write about your experiences for Private Eye on second thoughs, the trip your planning seems more suited to Hustler. Aren't you married with a family?!
  3. Couldn't agree more, PE hates the goings on at Holyrood!
  4. How's he been doing? I see his name pop up from time to time when reading match reports, but no idea if he's been playing well. I think Collingwood should go too, putting my Hants hat on, Lumb's hit a bit of form. KP should be back during these shouldn't he?
  5. Mums side of the familly Jah. Dads side is some mongrol celtic mix. And yes, I'm more on the Hants side of things. COYR!

  7. As we've now lost the ashes to entertain us, any thoughts on who should be in the one day squad? Key in for Cook?
  8. I say give 'em independence so they can become the small, petty, backwards looking country they so desperatly want to be. I say that as a scot too. (And they have plenty of @#$%& too!)
  9. where's the apple tree?
  10. according to cricinfo his highest score in test cricket is 26 (Swann has 63 not out), but yes, he did stay in and get the crucial draw. On the bowling front, I don't think the stats suggest mush between them, though Montys apply to quite a few more games! Monty/Swann.
  11. Monty? He hasn't had a good run with the ball for ages, including wickets where spin should be king. I'm not saying Swann's better with the ball, I think they probably work out much the same, but as Swann can get some runs, I'd have him over Monty.
  12. hey - what about championship manager?! On the cricket front, how do we feel going forward? Freddie's gone, I imagine Harmmy's off too, and I don't think it's looking good for Collingwood, so a few places up for grabs. I though Trott looked like a great find, an English(ish) batsman who looks as though he has no intention of leaving the crease. Straus seems to be doing much the same, though he's a vunerable at the start of a seesion. Prior's looking good, Broad (if he can get some consistancy) too. Not so sure about Swann, but he's no worse than Monty with the ball, but unlike Monty he can hold a bat. And we still have KP to return! Not a bad team :)
  13. effing 'marv'!
  14. hello, just be careful you! I'd suggest it's looking a bit better for England now!
  15. Dare I say it, but Broad's not doing badly!
  16. I thought Trott did ok, so maybe we should select a team composed entirely of south africans. That means Straus, Pietersen, Prior and Trott can stay, but who else should join them? Michael Lumb's getting some runs for Hampshire, any decent bowlers out there?!?
  17. what is it? On the topice itself. Quiet a few forumites have had their photos plastered all over the place in earlier days, so not much chance of secrecy for them.
  18. bellocks.
  19. I always thought it ended in a t?
  20. He is indeed. Shame Collingwood's lost it though. Shame Dirsy isn't doing the Beebs updates, but, as twitter seems to be the days hot topic, nice to see (I thought somewhat randomly) Kevin Smith and Pitchfork following his twiket updates:
  21. you had me worried there, thought Bell had gone. But you're right, we should all keep quiet!
  22. anyone heading to the pub later to watch the close?
  23. From the bbc fact of the day - "The dwarfs of the Cameroon recognized only malevolent deities and did nothing to placate them on the grounds that it was useless to try. WILL DURANT (1885-1981) US historian." I'd be happy to follow that beleif.
  24. West Ham v Tottenham - sounds like a corker of a game, can't wait for that one ;p I wish they were still the bbqs on a Friday night, made the whole drinking/eating thing that much easier!

I'm pretty the NHS was paid for by the Yanks (the irony!). Anyway, the Economists thoughts on what's happening in the States, as I'm far to weary to have any myself: http://www.economist.com/world/unitedstates/displayStory.cfm?story_id=14248420&source=features_box1
