It's a marvellous part of ED! Easy to get to the Lane and the Rye. Nice pubs too. Park is great if you don't have a garden! Welcome to the area.

So I went to the party and had a great time. Next challenge is coming to one of these EDF drinkies... how does one go about joining you all? Must I wear a red carnation!

The trouble with the Adventure bar is that is adds to the growing number of chain type stores on the lane. At least Inside 72 was original, if not a little small. What is this need to turn everything into brand spanking new and remove all character. Also, there are enough bloody pubs for 20-somethings to go to, and not enough for young 30-somethings like myself! ahhhh... thanks fot the rant, been dying to say that for ages!

Hi Summerjt, thanks for your thoughts. Everyone seems unanimous on the subject, so I think I will endeavour to be brave and join the party. Welcome to the site btw, I'm also new to this. (New years resolution 1 to take more of active role in ED!)

The party is being held by someone who is a very new friend, so I know little about her or her friends. She seems very nice, and it could be a lovely evening with the possibility of new friendships. Staying home I could be completely selfindulgent and watch hours of my fave tv shows. I guess I will just have to see how I feel on the night. I don't like this pressure to be out having a good time though!
