Hi, I just wondered what people's thoughts are on appealing PCNs? I always remember to check the time when I am driving down i.e. from Oglander road towards Crystal Palace Road but I just forgot when going back home the other way - it was only just 2 mins after 3pm. On the one hand I get it, them's the rules, just shut up and pay the fine. On the other hand, why should I pay £65 to the council to keep a road clear that didn't even have any children on it or any parents or any sign of activity? It was totally deserted so why do I have to pay soooooo much for the privilege of driving down it?! Don't mean to start a big debate, just looking for some thoughts on whether it is worth appealing and if so what to say?! Thanks -
Thanks for sharing these bob - could you tell me what to do to receive the emails myself please?

Some independent stores are taking advantage of C19

I know they're a bit more pricey but I have found Sainsburys Local to be better stocked than DKH in a few of those things - there was plenty of veg, tea, coffee, eggs, meat, fish today (not loo roll!!) I bought loo roll from a local independent - I was charged the RRP of ?2.50 as printed on the pack for 4 rolls of Andrex. I admit I bought 2 packs but there were still plenty on the shelves - again, a bit more pricey but worth it! -
You make a very good point, Captain Marvel. I filled in (another) customer survey recently and for the first time in ages was able to give full marks and glowing praise - and it was for my local GP surgery, where the doctors and nurses and staff are all excellent!

The Camberwell coop is also doing this now. Exciting times, being 10 mins walk away from a JLP collection point rather than a 20 min bus ride away!

Thanks peeps. Plug on a chain will be last resort! Cutting the threaded part has been suggested by others on PM too, will give that a try when I?m home.
-
My fingers are crossed someone else will say it *is* possible to just replace the plug part, even if I buy the whole thing... but still helpful to know what you did, many thanks

Has anyone had a situation similar to this? Or can anyone advise? https://imgur.com/a/YL4NbTd (scroll down to see other photos, not left/right) The bath waste still turns on the side of the tub but the actual plug has totally "gone" - would it be possible to either a) just buy a plug replacement, and if so, where from; or b) buy the whole thing but just use the new plug part? And if so, where from? (I've already tried screwfix/toolstation/b&q etc) TIA!

Thanks bobbsy, yes, for my very cold ground floor I?m going with both. Makes sense for me so I can, for example, set the UFH to come on and heat downstairs when the rest of the house doesn?t warrant turning on the CH. All a bit hypothetical at the moment anyway as UFH not yet connected and radiators not yet installed!
-
In case it helps anyone, I ended up going with PlumbNation as they had some decent Stelrads with reasonably fast delivery (although it turns out the radiators weren?t as urgent as the builders had suggested - in fact, they?re still in boxes...)
-
Sounds interesting. May be worth posting in the what?s on section?

Thanks for the suggestions. Although I?m having a rethink as people are saying there?s no point having radiators and UFH. I thought having both would be a good idea, they?d be used at different times / seasons in different ways - time for some BTU calculations!

Hi, I?d like to buy radiators that look similar to the one in the pic but aren?t crazy expensive - any ideas where to look please? Have to be 600mm wide and need delivery by Monday/Tuesday! Probably will get one double panel and two single panels. TIA https://imgur.com/a/Yqqgp9W
