I would like to add to the recommendations for Gary and his team. They were able to sort out a few minor issues (that other companies said they were too busy for and would only have capacity at some point in early 2025) within a short space of time. Gary kindly liaised directly with my tenants which is such a bonus as a landlord. The work was finished to a high standard and there was plenty of communication throughout. Thanks Gary and team! I used OpenRent and had no issues... you can do everything through them..... background checks and contract, inventory if letting furnished and register the deposit. I?m not sure the fees agents are charging these days really match up to the service you get from them, when there are alternatives online...

Hi, Anyone know what I could do with some (really) old electronics? I have quite a bit and have no car, so the Southwark recycling depot isn't an option. The WEEE at Sainsburys is only there on the first Wednesday of every month and only during office hours, so again not an option. Thank you! Sarah

I'm just wondering if anyone else in the area is being disturbed by the early morning noise from HSS Hire receiving deliveries. It occurred at 05:30 this morning and has been known to start at just after 5am on certain days. I've reported a compliant to them but allegedly they don't have control over timings as it's governed by another company. I've asked James Barber to see what he can do from a council side, but it's more likely to have some impact if there's a group saying it's disruptive. Thank you.

Hi James, I'm hoping you can help solve this problem. Recently there has been an increase in noise during anti-social hours coming from HSS Hire in the Goose Green trading estate. The have stock deliveries/exchanges very early in the morning, which is really disruptive. They are mostly between 06:00 and 06:30, which is bad enough, but have only a few days been as early as 05:00. I have phoned the branch manager and emailed their customer services who said they'd look into it, but nothing has changed. I've been told that they outsource their distribution to a company called Unipart Transport, but I have no contact details for them. Yours sincerely Sarah

Hi James, There are no trains from East Dulwich, Denmark Hill, nor Peckham Rye today and there is no service on the Clapham Junction branch of the Overground. Complete madness not to have kept one line running so enable quicker access centrally. This doesn't seem to have been thought through very well.

Just had a flier through my door today..... new secondary school on the old East Dulwich Hospital site. That's 2 new schools in the area, what with a primary school coming to the old police station site.
