  1. Some information. I work in a pub as bar staff and as you all know it is now mandatory to wear masks inside, social distancing, etc etc. Politics and personal views aside, I just want to ask why you feel it?s okay to give me a hard time about enforcing a literal law that could see me out of a job if I didn?t tell you you need to wear a mask. Why is it okay for you, knowing that I am nothing more than bar staff, to rant to me in your group of people who are all conveniently ?exempt? why you are so entitled that you DONT want to wear a mask, give me a shit time when I tell you that I won?t be able to serve you because of this, to shout at me in front of my customers because I?m being ?brainwashed by the government? and give me a rough time when all I?m trying to do is work my job? Why do you come in just to argue, when you know what the outcome will be every time? What is the logic behind it? Thanks. - A tired bartender.
  2. I?m actually a vegan lmao. Not trying to belittle just asking if it?s worth donating money to a place thats food is nasty and (regardless of what OP says) has a lot of reviews on Google saying the exact same thing.
  3. No thanks. Good luck with the crowdfunder! x
  4. Jules-and-Boo Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > why didn't you yell out the window to him to be > more careful /stop at the road etc > > kids are not aware of the dangers No, they?re not, thus they shouldn?t be allowed on the road alone.
  5. Thanks to the person who forwarded it on. There was no point in shouting at the window as like I said, the kid didn?t even turn around once we?d stopped and wouldve been halfway up the road the time we unrolled our windows. But again, not sure why some particular people on here are trying to blame me for not reacting correctly... I?m not the kids parent who allowed it to happen in the first place. And Nigello, if I want to write a post on the forum in hope of opening a couple of irresponsible parents? eyes, I will. I don?t feel it should be my obligation to call the police (and why the Hell would I call the police in the first place?) so please, if you have nothing productive to spew, pipe down.
  6. If we donate are you going to improve the oily muck that you produce from your restaurant... Ordered from this place twice before and both times were genuinely disgusting.
  7. Yet it would have been a different story completely if we hadn?t hit the brakes on time and ended up running him over. No idea how this is even up for debate. If people aren?t allowed to start driving on the roads until they?re 16 then ten year olds definitely shouldn?t be, especially 1) by themselves 2) without any basic knowledge of road safety, which this kid obviously lacked. I?m not blaming him but the parents and if you want to defend them then maybe you should question your own parenting skills.
  8. Little boy maybe no older than 10 wearing a green school uniform scooted straight across the junction in front of my car near the The Great Exhibition earlier today at around 4pm. No parents in sight and the kid didn?t even look our way despite nearly hitting him with the car. If this is your son you should not only be absolutely ashamed that you?re letting a kid so young travel on the road by himself, but that you?ve let him do so with obviously no road safety awareness whatsoever. Disgusting.
  9. To be fair I work in a pub and it?s near impossible to get the smell out of the men?s toilets. We bleach everything including the floors, scrub the tiles and clean thoroughly every night and that grim pissy smell is still somehow engrained into it all!
  10. Very. Ignore the people berating you for posting this, the receptionist had been a cranky old bat for years now. Always a miserable time dealing with her whenever I go in there.
  11. Why are people using this thread to spew anti-vax propaganda? Should all be banned from this thread imo. Anyway, back to the actual topic at hand... day 4 after my mum had her vaccine and all side effects have gone away. She only felt sick for one day and now she?s back to her usual self.
  12. Day 3 after my mum had her vaccination (Oxford vaccine). Today shes woken up with a fever, vomiting and shakiness but describes it as moderate and manageable. She?s taking paracetamol to help with symptoms.
  13. My mum had hers done today (Oxford) and hasnt had any side effects five hours on, aside from a bit of a sore arm.
  14. Literally just a natural, panicked reaction I suppose? What a snarky post...

Pretty sure the fireworks would?ve been for NYE....
  16. Same guy knocked on my mums door today claiming to be working with the homeless or something. My mum refused his offer of whatever it was and he said ?The people around here are dogs? and when my mother (who isn?t afraid of speaking her mind) asked him to repeat himself he backed off and said ?Not you love! What are your neighbours like?? Very strange but not sure whether it would be worth noting to the police.
  17. This is ridiculous. I work in a pub that has taken every step and beyond in an effort to keep customers as safe as viably possible, and yet I?m still once again out of a job. I?m in financial distress to the point that I?m severely depressed, so seeing the market so packed full of people without masks and whatnot is infuriating, somewhat along the lines of why the Hell are they able to operate like that but we aren?t despite having every measure possible in place to prevent the spread of the virus? It?s not the market sellers faults but more the governments as it is totally unfair that one is allowed to operate under such ridiculous conditions but we are not.
  18. How annoying. Thanks guys. :/
  19. Does anyone know if the stop is open again? TFL says there are no disruptions but I?m pretty sure I saw the latter part of the road still closed off today...
  20. Not exactly useless when it?s the only bus that takes me to work but alright. lol
  21. Eeeugh. Walking.
  22. Where?s the closest bus stop from the Dunstans stop to get the P13 towards Peckham? Anyone know?
  23. There is a post in the general ED section about a van that was stealing bikes today. Might be worth having a look at.
  24. Not neutering her may have made me irresponsible and I wish I had done the right thing while she was alive. However, that doesn?t mean I didn?t love her deeply. I?m always going to love that cat. Not like I need to justify myself but I?m hoping to put an end to this. Me and my mum knew that Fudge had been missing for at least a few days. We had (including) Fudge seven cats in total, all outdoors that came and went as they pleased. We would keep a tab on them, but it wasn?t unlike them to go missing for days at a time. One of ours is still a regular to the cemetery ? he goes there for up to a week at a time and then strolls back happy and ready for cuddles. This was not unlike our cats. (But no more, we have both vowed never to let the cats outdoors again after what has happened.) Now I must admit Fudge was gone for longer than I realised. The night before we found out she was ?missing? me and my mum commented on how neither of us had seen her for a few days. I decided to have a look on the forum to see if anyone had seen her and ultimately case across the devestating post... Yes I wish I had realised sooner. Yes I have been irresponsible by not getting her chipped and neutered (we were planning on getting her done really soon, the last of our cats to not be chipped etc.) But this by no means meant she had a horrible owner. I love Fudge and she loved me, a lot. Throughout her short six years here she had a life where she was loved and spoilt and unfortunately got taken away from us too soon. Like I said earlier, our cats have been outdoor cats my whole life - chipped or not, she would?ve been hit by that car either way. NOTHING IS GOING TO CHANGE THAT. Not your words of judgement or ill-wishing. I feel guilty as it is. I don?t need a bunch of strangers telling me what I already know. There is a time and place for things like this and this is neither the time nor place. I beg you find some compassion, because however much y?all want to preach that your words aren?t nasty and hurtful - they are. I love you Fudge. Always have and always will. Some spirits aren?t meant to be on this Earth for too long. And with that ? this is the end of the thread. I?d like an admin to close or delete it now as I?m done with the vileness of some particular users on here. Thanks for anyone who has given me support, it has helped a lot. For now I?m going to continue to grieve without the added stress and upset of unkind strangers.
  25. Thank you for the support guys. Fudge was my last and only cat who wasn?t neutered or chipped. Would that have stopped her from being run over? No.
