Water main works in Lordship Lane
shaman replied to Townleygreen's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Always amazes me that they always seem to wait till after school holidays are finished to start major works when the traffic is much heavier in the mornings, did the same at easter waited holidays finished then start think planned to cause maximum chaos -
Crows are wonderful birds and one I have strong associations with they were uncommon in London but in the last thirty years have taken advantage of our increased waste they came in with the fast food chains being carrion feeders. We have Common Crows hooded and Rooks, also many more Jays and Magpies due to these new feeding conditions.

This is my line of work, I get called ion when things get out of hand with the little b-------s causing problems. Have lived in variety of haunted homes in my life and help sort out problems between old and new tenants on many occasions. ED and Peckham have quite alot of hauntings over the years some minor some very lively. Generally new builds are on old sites the spirit world don't notice the difference although can get upset if changes are made soon after their departure.

When and why did ED become so poncey?
shaman replied to krosfyah's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
ED is very diverse yes now there is a large young white middle classs population, however shops are mostly owned and run by non -english peoples providing rich variety of choose many businesses apart are owned by asian and turkish peoples or italian they maybe first or second generation immigrents but london as always been a cultural melting poty and is the greater for it the ghettoisation of peckham was to do with poor social planning asnd lack of funding the decline of rye lane was the result of shortsighted planning policies in the late seventies and eighties by southwark council, having set on some of the commities at the time there was little power residing within rye lane politically and council directed spending else where. -

He regular customers are ex soldiers or soldier wannabes he used to do lot of business with police officers whom seem to be the ones with interest in Social Services memrobilia. Not really so scary if you talk to him but not sure would want him to dinner.

Breastfeeding is the most effective form of feeding a child, not an act of exhibitionism exposing a sexual organ is not the same as breasts they are not genitals, exposure of genitals is generally considered culturally unacceptable.
-
Has a father I would not to upset that my child had witnessed a baby being breastfed, but would be worried about sending one so young with a mobile on a bus, recent attempted abdunction of girls of that age see other threads. My very large and tough sons have both had mobiles taken off them at gunpoint so suggest not always good idea for your child to have one unless it looks like a brick. Also would be worried about them having access to youtube at that age!

If her breasts are detactable then see no problem, however if not it is important for breastfeeding mothers to alternate breasts used for feeding for health reasons however maybe she is simply less inhibited then yourselfs
-
breastfeeding in many cultures is openly performed task of feeding young not the excretion of waste if the mother had preceded to change a soiled nappy then a cause for concern however that was not the case and if any are embarrassed that is their choice. If the woman had not feed her baby it would of possibly cried to much greater annoyance to the Que
