Not ED la di da latte, but nice cheap lunches and snacks
  8. Crystal palace pool is quite nice, but the changing room and general environment are grotty. Go to Peckham, don't be snobby. It's lovely. Greenwich the Arches is nice but hard to park. Deptford is nice too. The Spa at Beckenham has a nice soft play too, as does Peckham. It's quite pricey, the Spa. ?7.10 to swim, mum and child.
  9. There were free cloth bags given out at the Green fair on Saturday, "Everybody's going to the park" ones with duck on, if you filled in the consultation about Goose Green Park. Produced by the council, I presume and very nice they are too!
  10. The Barcelona is nice food, very friendly staff and good for kids. It's a bit pricey though.
  11. It sells useful stuff, that's the main thing as far as I can see! Handy for art projects and kids parties etc. I can't say I've ever felt intimidated. Certainly hope it never gets replaced by another bar or estate agent!
  12. We like it. It's great to go to with kids, being right by the park, and has good snacks (hummous and pitta bread) The staff look a bit dour but are pretty tolerant and oen of them has started giving me free drinks!
  13. We did, until they got scoffed by a fox while having a wander in the garden. Don't do the egloo thing. Really expensive and pretty stupid IMO! You need to build a (fox proof) pen and buy a chicken house.
