  1. I know, it's only a salad and I shouldn't have to ask - does anybody have a good recipe? It was on Masterchef, but I didn't write it down and I can't find it on the internet. But it looked really nice!
  2. The Invisible Man - Queen PS Phew - I thought I'd killed the song game thread!
  3. It gets so annoying! 1 x I can cope with. Possibly 2 (because once you start with one, surely you need some kind of ranking system?) But when you have to end texts/e mails with "xxxxxxxxxxxx". Or is that just me? Can't we just banish them?
  4. Midnight sun - Bloodbound
  5. Edited because I re-read it and I'm not really that grumpy! I would have liked to work in finance, and my post just came across as bitter. I'm not.
  6. A chauffeur. I'm not too fussed about the car, as long as it goes.
  7. I agree with that, but rocket scientists have to work in teams as well. And NASA probably can't afford many "I told you so, if only you'd listened" moments.
  8. I would say that verbal skills are more important, for exactly the reasons PGC said. Sadly enough, I think I'm fairly intelligent in an analytical sort of way, but I'm resorting to "what she said" on a forum. Oh dear, that proves my point. And if anyone has any tips on how to persuade people, I'm listening...
  9. There are some brilliantly talented tattooists. I love the artwork, but not sure I would have one. And I really don't like girly designs, they wouldn't suit me. So I'm probably better off without that snarling pit bull tatt I was thinking of getting on my calf.
  10. Definitely count me in. Afternoon football...I've just started a new job ;( I think there should be world cup leave.
  11. I worked for Dr Dong once. Some girls went past his office, giggling.....I had to explain why.
  12. Surely all the design tips on this page are applicable only if you know about the aims of the study, and how many respondents you're expecting? For example, if you have a drop down with a list of categories, the list would have to be exhaustive, which means that you might have a group size of only one or two. You can't do much with in terms of analysis with that either. But if it's just to act as a pilot for a larger study, then I think free text is as good an option as any. Good luck with it!

    EDF Drinks

Seconded. A massive thank you to Georgia and Mike for organising them, I've really enjoyed the couple I've been to. And if they're being stopped because I ventured out to a couple, I'll go back to my hermit like existence, for the greater good! Only joking, I know it wasn't me... I've really enjoyed meeting some of you, and hope it isn't Forum Drinks RIP!

  15. I love his accent. I can't help it....
  16. I wish......I would even break my rule of not watching running races for that.
  17. Hand out lobotomies to save little families Surrealistic fantasy, bland boring pain.

I agree with Kalamity Kel, less hair is good. An ex had his head shaved, but then he let it grow. I nearly begged him to shave it off again!
  19. Ouch indeed! Trying to get through the ticket barriers with a Barclays connect card. And then getting annoyed when it doesn't work.
  20. That's really cool. My one is probably "Tender Surrender" by Steve Vai And Soul Kitchen by The Doors. I must be getting soft in my old age!
  21. I just saw Dulwich College, so it was probably not Sainsbury's at all. Not quite sure what the shop was.
  22. Well, it's not Come Dine With Me, but we're on Saturday Kitchen. Olly Smith gets sent to all the good places ;) .... Sainsbury's!
  23. I completely agree PGC. Had Mill Reef been a gelding.... And Sheikh Mohammad isn't short of a few pennies, so Dubai Millenium was lucky. I don't know who I fancy anymore....I'm going to start laying them all!
  24. I think it's a bit of both. There were 4 deaths yesterday, there usually are about that many at the meeting before the National itself. I think you hear about it more because of the fact that it's Aintree, but surely there must be more with huge novice fields at smaller tracks? Don't know if there are any vets on here, but I don't think that a broken leg necessarily means the end of the line for a horse any more, depends on the type of break etc. I remember pics of Mill Reef in a cast, and Dubai Millenium would have been dead a long time before he was, if he had been any other horse. Oh, now I'm depressed. I'm going back to bed!
  25. Sorry, I'm not Mick....but I was impressed!
