  1. I'm soooooooo over it now Lou, but I don't want peeps getting the wrong idea about you, it just wouldn't be fair on you;-) Tillie
  2. It ain't no joke folk! She used to send me PM's telling me to run the other way if I saw her coming. Even threatened to come sort me out at a forum drinks once. Hilarious. Tillie Trotter
  3. They'll be extending the Congestion Charge before you know it.....
  4. I'm with you penk. I'm not exactly what you'd call a 'care bear' socialist but even I can see that statements such as "slum clearances" show a horrible degree of ignorance. In fact, with reference to the protection of 'us' and "bulldozing" of 'them' situation you are implying, it teeters conspicuously near what one could call (almost laughably) post codalism..... ...surely you can't be serious in suggesting that SE15 is solely responsible for bringing gun crime to your doorsteps? You live in London, do you not? Gun crime up by 4%! Don't you think by sheer numbers it's bound to happen near you at some point? Does that entitle you to then go and point the finger of blame at a whole area code? Come now, let's be reasonable adults.....
  5. I think the point to be made here is that we are always shocked and appalled when tragic things are brought sed close to home but we must not pretend to ourselves that ED has a white pickett fence around it through which gun crime cannot penetrate. Quite opposed to being on a war horse bossboss, I don't think SE15 is a bad place and I don't think it should be so deprecated on the forum as the horrid neighbor of SE22. Moreover, I think that, interestingly, give the event occurred so close to the SE22/SE15 divide, it makes us question what difference it makes that it happened on Barry road or on Peckham rye.... ....less shocking? perhaps, at a push but, worse, is it being somehow implied that it would be less worrying?
  6. Account from boyfriend; Happened outside number 50 Barry road. Middle aged black guy on a push bike shot in head. Upland road has been cornered off.
  7. It's just hit the BBC new.... confirmed fatality.
  8. Never call into question the hallowed (and altogether flippin overpriced) grounds of ED! You'll have your fingers bitten off by many a diehard Ed'er before you can say "a copy of todays Guardian please, sir!".....
  9. That confirms what my other half has said lilol. He lives near the offi and he said that he went down to get some milk but, obviously found he couldn't, and much to his shock saw a dead man in the road and hence rang me with alarm. I agree with you andymat. You are more than right in saying that you don't expect it to reach Dulwich. Poor man.
  10. Well I'll get an exact update when he comes back from the shop but, yes TQ, I think a quick dig at SE15 isn't particularly necessary when a young man has died. Casually dropping in a post code is implying a lot more than the flippant remark is worth methinks.....
  11. I wouldn't laugh! Reports from my boyfriend who lives on Barry Road just said he came out and saw a dead body in the road in the midst of all the furore! Shot in the head he said! Shocking!
  12. Steph and I came fashionably late (nearly 11pm) but very glad we bothered as it was my favourite of all the EDF nights.
