  3. I am looking for a mother’s help/nanny/home support for around 6-8 weeks from September (although there may be the potential of extending/adapting the role longer term. We are expecting our third baby at the end of August, and could do with an extra pair of loving hands in the early weeks/months as my partner travels for work. Ideally we’d be looking for someone Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, around 20 hours a week (Tue 2–6pm, Wed & Thur 8.30am–4.30pm). Role would include taking/picking up 3.5yo at Kindergarten – he finishes at 2pm so playing/cooking with him after this. Then on Wed/Thur whilst toddler is out, some help with baby and light household jobs (cooking, tidying, washing, walking the dog). Must be able to drive and have clean licence (own car not necessary as we can add you to ours), happy around pets (we have a dog and cat), first aid and DBS. Please DM me if you can recommend someone or are interested in the role and can provide great recent references.
  4. Unfortunately the incident has been reported to the police along with full details of the owner and her dogs. This information was passed over on 7th December and still nothing has been done. It's shocking really, because it's only a matter of time before this dog attacks another dog, or worse still a child. I'm not sure if anyone read about the dog attack in Northumberland where a dog attacked children in a play area despite having been previously reported. Police were heavily criticised for not acting sooner and it would be tragic if this happens again. We are now writing to local councillors to urge them to push police on the matter. If you're a dog owner, it's worth noting that she is now walking these dogs (still off lead and unmuzzled) in Dulwich woods almost daily.
  5. Jambirre - please can I use your photo of the woman and her dogs to go on some posters to put up locally? We met with police today following an attack on my dog yesterday and they are taking it very seriously after numerous incidents. We have a crime reference (7962 6/12) and if anyone sees her they should call 101 and quote this. The police will attend and confiscate her dog immediately under the dangerous dogs act.
  6. Edited to add you need to also quote the incident date (6/12) with the crime ref (7962) when she's spotted.
  7. Thanks Asset, if you do see her again please could you call 101 with the crime reference number 7962, and let them know her whereabouts.
  8. Me neither. It's crazy and so dangerous. The update is that we've had a meeting with the police who are taking it very seriously. They have advised anyone who sees her to call 101 straight away and quote reference 7962 with her whereabouts. The police will attend and confiscate her dog immediately under the dangerous dogs act. Thanks for everyone's help in this matter, and I really hope we can get this owner held accountable for her irresponsible behaviour (and my massive vets bill paid!).
  9. Thanks for all of your help. We have lots of witnesses and a very good description of her and her dogs now, and have a meeting with the police this afternoon.
  10. Yes, it appears to be the same woman/dog and we have a meeting with the police set up tomorrow afternoon.
  11. My dog was attacked by this white staffy today! See: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,1889287,1889287#msg-1889287 Has anyone identified the owner?
  12. My dachshund Ruby was viciously attacked today (Weds 6 Dec) by a white Staffordshire Bull Terrier around 1pm in Belair Park, Dulwich. Ruby has puncture wounds, a severed ear and was bleeding profusely. She is currently at the vets receiving emergency treatment. The staffy was away from its owner, not on a lead and not wearing a muzzle. When the owner saw, she said "it's just superficial, it'll wipe off", and then walked away quickly in the opposite direction, exiting through the Belair House gate onto Gallery Road. There were witnesses to the attack, and the owner is described as a white woman in her late 50s/early 60s, quite short with short blonde/light hair. She possibly has another dog too, and has been seen walking around Dulwich Village so is likely to be local. I would like to give this woman the benefit of the doubt in case she was in shock, and find her so that she can cover the cost of Ruby's veterinary bills and be advised to muzzle her dog and keep it on a lead at all times. This dog is very clearly out of control and aggressive. Ruby was on her lead at the time of the attack, and the staffy then proceeded to attack a Dalmatian. If you are or know of the woman, please come forward. If you are a local dog owner, please be vigilant when walking your dog in Belair Park, as she has been seen there on numerous occasions.
  13. Morning all! Long shot but I wondered if anyone would like to puppy sit our gorgeous 4 month old Dachschund Ruby this morning? It would be from 9.30-2.30 in West Dulwich (although you're welcome to take her out/back to yours?). She's very sweet and playful and good with kids. Very happy walking. Bursts of energy followed by 3 hours of snoozing and snuggling is her thing! Please DM me ASAP if you'd be up for it! Hollie
