I am no exception from the people whose favourite time of the year is Christmas - not only a feast for my stomach but my soul too. It's just so cosy and warm at home then. Don't mind to have an early Christmassy kitchen redolent with the smell of homemade desserts. Can't wait for December!

Never happened to me and don't think it's normal if it wasn't a recycling bin as you said but a regular one. Their job is to collect the rubbish after all, not to pick or leave it there. If I were you, I'd politely ask about their politics and see if they can give an adequate answer. I am glad our bin men from http://www.rubbishwaste.co.uk/ are outgoing and would never do that without a reason.

Good gracious... what kind of people would leave (rat) poison that may harm other domestic animals.. Thank you for the warning, OP. I always watch for suspicious items on the path that my dog is likely to sniff or even try but I am not always able to keep him away from them. He's too energetic and when he decides to eat something, does it in the blink of an eye. He's always gets scolded in situations like these but the effect doesn't seem to last for long. Glad to know that your friend's dog is OK after all!

This is beyond ridiculous, they put pedestrians and drivers in danger and obviously don't care about their own lives. Strict measures should be taken instead of pointing at excuses like they were not wearing helmets, which is another violation in itself...
