The poor native birds > don't get a look in anymore!... Our bird feeder is about 7m away from our rear window and the parakeets never come to it even though ther's lots of them in the tree 25m away. We get lots of natives coming. So it might be something to do with proximity to your house.

Germany however gets 40% of its total energy from Russia . That's why Angela is totally silent and isn't getting involved in Syria and sanctions. The UK can do without Russia's gas and if we get a bit of fracking we could keep Germany happy and get a better deal on Brexit.

Went to the sub PO in Dulwich Village to find that their system was down since early morning. Phoned round 2 other sub PO locations when I couldn't get through to any main PO on the phone. The sub POs said the system was so slow it was virtually unusable. Can anyone relate to what was the situation at L.L. PO and elsewhere?

Think how many pot holes could be fixed with our ?10 Billion foreign aid budget. Asa country we borrow from overseas and increase the national debt just to give it away as aid. And much of that aid just ends up in the pockets of crooks and corrupt officials. Blame it on our old friend Gordon Brown who enshrined the commitment in law. The same Brwon who robbed the pension sector of ?8Bn p.a. to fund his reckless spending. -

If you don't want to get bothered by politicos door-stepping you then just give them a long expletive-ridden rant about their policies and failings and they will strike you off their list and they will never bother you again. It works for me! I've never had any of them around for years. Bliss!

There's a few YouTube vids out there that show exactly how it is done. It can be done under 2 minutes but this is dependent on the villains getting to the battery first and removing the negative terminal. If they don't remove the terminal then the air bag goes off when they tamper with it. The simplest solution therefor is to make your battery terminals inaccessible. A simple shield with a secure lock is the way to go. A supplementary alarm triggered by the breaking glass that initiates a smoke cloud is the other way to go. You mighr also consider a proprietary warning sticker that is clearly visible. Villains dont like the unknown

James, would you like to comment on this as I have looked at what is being doe (at great expense) and the end result will be little different. Meanwhile we have traffic disruption and the bus stop is out of commission.

Why not start a U3A group to research and maintain the boxes?

Just seen an albino squirrel this morning. Birds were making an unusually loud racket and there was this snow white squirrel. I'd imagine it gets a rough time wherever it goes.

Silvester Rd post collection shambles

I recommend DPD Local with drop off and collect at ED Local (Kaival News) Just opposite Londis. DPD has a much more reliable service that Hermes. DPD collect at about 09:30 am every day and are very good. Book your parcel online, print the label and then drop it off. The Londis staff are very competent and helpful but let down by Hermes as the do not always collect every day. Their collection time is mid-afternoon. I still use them both but my strong preference is for DPD. They are faster and have better tracking and are much more reliable. -
They want to meet up and take us out to a nice restaurant of OUR CHOICE. They are in Clapham and we are in Dulwich. My question is.... is there a really GOOD restaurant along the line of the 37 bus route that would be easy for all of us to meet up at? Oh, and it has to be open on a Sunday night - 17th December. All suggestions welcome. Tom PS The good news, they are paying!

I'm amazed. I posted a web design job on the forum yesterday, thinking that there would be lots of IT savvy youngsters who wanted to make some beer money. I can only imagine that they are away on their hols? Or they never scan the EDF? Or they have too much money already? Or I didnt make it appealing enough? Scratches head!

Make sure you switch off the power supply to oven at the fuse box. Take the inner oven panels off to check the element and its wires. If the element has "blisters" on it it may be on its way out and causing the problem. If it was me I would just take the chance and buy a new replacement element first off. Replacing this might just fix the problem at a fraction of the cost of a new oven.

Just the job for the man about town.

Love it. EDG has two good bus services, one of which terminates at the big Sainsburys. Better towards the Village end as close to ND station which is 14 mins to London Bridge. Also ND tennis club is there.
