  1. Hi there, My boyfriend is home now but no sign of him, though we don't know if he might have been in and then gone out again. Don't think it's your cat honey, the other is another brown tabby and he's apparently about at the moment so mine may well be in hiding, but am worried as it's so cold and miserable at the moment. I've never seen him out the front before and believe he sticks to the gardens so backing onto Friern Road. I want to be positive but am so worried about him. Would really appreciate if you do keep your eyes open for him. Thank you Jen
  2. Hi, We are just about at the junction of Underhill Road. No photos on me as at work now. He's a dark brown tabby with long white whiskers. His underside is more caramel in colour. His collar is red with golden stars on it, and a silver disc with my number which is 07951 102 241. I'm really hoping he's ok and be there when I get home, just concerned if he's been locked in anywhere or even lying low in someones garden as there is another tabby nearby and they are not friends. If he's not home when I get back I'll put a photo up. Thank you, Jen
  3. I've just spent a sleepless night as our male brown Tabby didn't come home last night. We last saw him yesterday morning and he is wearing a red colour with a silver disc with my phone number on it. Please could everyone check garages and sheds in case he's been locked in? He's only 4 years old and we miss him. Many thanks, Jen
  4. I popped into the White Stuff by Liverpool St just to see what it was like - it's actually really cool, some nice stuff if a little pricey in some cases. I think it'll be good though for the area as a whole though. Good luck to them.
  5. really? It doesn't seem big enough to be all those things? Any idea when it's opening so we can see for sure?
  6. I know everyone is saying this is to be a tea room but if you look at the notice outside they have applied for a late drinking lincense. Somehow don't think I'd be up for drinking alcoholic tea at midnight. Anyone have any further update on this site?
  7. Ah - so it's an old sign that's become uncovered during development? So it's going to be a Foxtons - really?!
  8. sorry to be thick but what exactly is the lordship lane information centre?! I saw the sign yesterday and was confused :-/ x
  9. I am thrilled to here that she's turned up ok, and also that Archie has come home after his little adventure. As a cat owner myself I always have a worry that something might happen, but these stories are so warming to hear. jen x
  10. I try to buy everything locally from the various shops in ED - Moxons, William Rose, Fruit & Veg from Northcross Road, nibbles from the market or from Abel & box delivery.....however, a Waitrose would be very nice! Sorry if that offends! They do try to buy from ethical sources and do a damn fine selection of yummies too...Jx
  11. Thanks Sean - I had thought the Somerfield thing was strange as it was pretty new looking frontage. I used to live in Balham and their Somerfield has been taken over by Waitrose...just a thought...?
  12. Will def keep my eyes pealed for her. Is she due to give birth any day? In which case she'll have gone somewhere to hide and give birth, so worth checking under bushes and hedges as well as any open sheds / garages. Have you popped a poster up as yet? Good luck, Jen x
  13. So I am coming home last night and firstly I notice that Walsh Galzing has got a wooden facade all around it - anyone know if this is going to be a Fat Face or something else? Then I notice that Somerfield has removed all it's signage...is it being revamped or taken over? And just read that Le Chandelier antique shop is to become a tea room! Anyone know anything on these? Jen x
  14. Thanks batdog, I'll pop along and ask them today and let you know how I get on. Jen
  15. I was put off going in for a long time after moving here, but actually it's pretty good! The decor is obviously naff but don't let that put you off. Food is good and reasonably priced. Though we tend to arrive lateish and they are always quite keen to get rid of you and get home, so not good for a late one! Also a fan of the Turkish place towards Goose Green on LL - my better half lovingly refers to it as 'the steak place'. Bless. Anyone know when the LL Thai refurb will be finished? Jen
  16. Max, I think it's a great addition to LL and am very excited about your move. I will be in touch with my CV shortly, and hope will be meeting with you in the near future. Goodnight all, Jen
  17. Might pop along with my better half - do you all wear pink carnations and have a copy of the times each to aid recognition?!
  18. Hey, I am new to the EDF, though been living in ED for nearly 3 years. Can I ask who is in the EDF drinks club and if I can join?! Jen
  19. SimonM, I agree. I have been looking for a newsagent to deliver on Sundays for the last few weeks since I moved from busy LL to Upland Road. I am obviously very lazy but would love to get up and read the papers on Sunday, and Saturday too if the truth be known! If anyone knows of one that will stretch all the way to Upland Road let me know! Thanks, Jen
  20. Max, Thanks for the update. Forgive me if I've missed this, but what exact location are you moving into on LL? Is it the old Walsh Glazing space? Additionally, I am a fully trained and insured massage therapist, and currently studying reflexology with the intention of going into the therapists profession full time, (currently I work 4 days as an advertising producer and practice 1 day & weekends), and was wondering if i could submit my CV to you? It would great to send to a person rather than the Camberwell practice and hope the right person reponds. Look forward to hearing back. Best wishes, Jen
  21. If he/she is really sleeping rough then that is a concern. I live on upland road and am a cat owner already. We have a very cat friendly 90 foot garden with gardens all round that. If he really does need a home please give me a ring: 07951 102 241 and I can pop over to meet you. I will be around all day tomorrow, (Friday) if that suits. As already mentioned I think this is on the proviso that if his owner gets in touch then he is returned. Jen
  22. Hey there, Have you checked with the Vet on Lordship Lane - Lomax & Partners: 020 86934677? I am very tempted to rehome though it's possible he / she is just hanging out near you and is new to the area hence why you haven't seen the cat before. Let us know how you get on and will happily let it have a home if it doesn't already have one! Keep us all posted please. Jen x
