  1. I would go for something that is closest to your home, I'm a midwife working in the area and find that like all GP's everyone has mixed reviews on waiting times for appointments and things. If you or your new baby is sick it will easier if its not a long distance to travel. Sel doc is also a great on call GP service that are based in the east dulwich hospital on east dulwich grove who would be able to see you out of hours or if you can't get an appointment x
  2. hi I've posted in what on in east dulwich.... is that the appropriate spot to advertise?
  3. for anyone thats still interested.... about 1 year ago kings shifted around all the case loading (home birth) teams so that they were more evenly spread and everyone could access it no matter your post code. Birchtree (Brierly) now cover tulse hill crystal palace gypsy hill, Juniper (Oakwood) cover east dulwich herne hill up to brixton boundary, The Grove cover peckham, Electric cover camberwell and brixton. If anyone has any questions about home birth or how to access care give us a shout!
  4. messageRe: Midwife-led antenatal classes for Autumn babies 2016 Posted by LeeFay July 13, 10:45AM These classes are fantastic and I would highly recommend them to everyone. Ariadna is a font of knowledge, and she shares that knowledge in a digestible, non-judgemental and accessible way. The classes were reassuring and helpful. Ariadna and Vicky were down to earth, approachable and the classes were fun as well as helping you digest things. Plus, we were lucky to have a fab group of people and Ariadna really focuses on the social side too, which is such a bonus! Thank you so much Ari, you were a godsend to me and really looking forward to catching up at the reunion. Lee X
  5. Hello! For all East Dulwich Parents to be...Emily and Vicky are practicing midwives and their inspiration for The Group is based on years of caring for families through pregnancy and birth. Classes offered by The Group have been carefully crafted to prepare you for labour, birth, and the early weeks of parenthood. The information, advice, and guidance provided by The Group is up-to-date, based on the most recent research, and underpinned by Emily and Vicky's first hand experience as midwives. They ensure that classes are stimulating, interactive and non-judgmental, and always make time for questions, ensuring that you can feel ready no matter how your birth story unfolds. The Group also organise social events alongside classes, providing further time to get to know one another, and hopefully, make lasting friendships with other expectant couples from in and around East Dulwich. Courses available for first time parents, second time parents and private classes. Courses for first time parents take place in at The Lordship Pub on Lordship Lane- 6 week course held on Wednesday evenings from 7pm-9pm.
