re:community wardens, I suspect you already realise they have no powers covering traffic, that's why we have traffic wardens! Albeit the uniforms are almost identical ;-(

strange you think it's ladies that should stay off the streets! how about a curfew for men/youths??

I personally like bees, wonders of nature etc. A lot of bees around this time of year are not dead but simply 'drunk' on pollen. I always rescue them, putting them somewhere safe! I won't kill any insect, just because something usually can feed on it so why not live and let live. Hornets are quite a different matter-I hate them...

I'm loving 'The White Tiger' by Aravind Adiga-it's dark and funny and hate to think it's nearly fininshed...

Would you consider letting them stay till Spring? They breed up to Feb I think, but rest assured that foxes always have more than one den, so if you really want them out now, it's likely they will move on to another place they know...I would love to have foxes at the end of my garden!
