  1. I think one of my cookbook have not one but two squirrel recipes. I also think the squirrel in resturants are shot hence the 'beware of lead shoots' LM: I think a sufficient powerful airgun at close range will cleanly kill a squirrel but I have not tried it (yet). Expat Ps. Did someone mention Foie Gras? Mhhh
  2. >Where have you got that idea from, expat? From publishers and laywers. If you wish to break to law that is your concern or rather the paper - if indeed you work for one - as they are the ones that will get sued and loose.

  4. >Finally, the suggestion that I might be breaching "intellectual copyright" by quoting any of what's been written in >response to me on this forum - come on! Intellectual Property Rights Nature of the Internet and Implied Licences Uses other than for the operation of the Internet, such as commercial uses are an entirely different question. To quote people in a newspaper or magazine without their permission is also a breach of copyright.
  5. I think it is a myth that flying is so cheap in CO2 - a return trip to spain for a single person is over 20% of the yearly allowance. http://www.carbonneutralcalculator.com/flightcalculator.aspx Kids will grow up and pay tax which will pay for NHS etc. perhaps we should severely tax people with grandchildren and/or of pensionable age. :)
  6. well the average Carbon Footprint in the UK is apparently 10 Tonnes http://www.climatechangewales.org.uk/public/?id=112 That is an average though. Carbon Trading does not really address the problem it just moves it around. Perhaps a big tax on flying say 100% and an extra tax on airline fuel would help.
  7. >I'd like to see an analysis of the carbon footprint of taking a child from 0 to 18 That is virually impossible as it would in part depend on how often and to where the parent fly with the kids, nannies etc.
  8. No. And there are European countries denser populated than the UK.

The bulk of Southwark >Councils debt, around ?500M of it, was borrowed to build council housing in the 60's and 70's.
