Recommended: brilliant builder for Victorian tiled path - Bujar Doda
kittenheels replied to kittenheels's topic in Reviews
Just logging on for the first time in a while and I'm so pleased to see other people have used Doda and were pleased with his work! Extend10 - yours looks fabulous. -
We?ve just had a black and white tiled path laid at our Victorian terrace by Doda, a brilliant builder who I wouldn?t hesitate to recommend. He also re-rendered our walls, fitted railings and a new gate, and laid slate slabs to the side. Doda was diligent, polite, honest and a pleasure to have around. His rates were very reasonable too. Let me know if you?d like to see photos of our path - happy to send. Contact Doda on 07916 846473.

Ellie at Myla & Davis did my hair this week - excellent highlights and cut, and I am extremely fussy! -

Another vote for Hollie - she is completely fabulous. -
Thanks so much everyone. Lovely to have so many tips and a bit of reassurance too!

Thank you! Yes, I love the idea of BLW and bought the book a while ago. So far nothing in any way lumpy is going down - just fruit pur?e and yogurt. She's always refused a bottle but loves the boob and thinks drinking water from a sippy cup is just hilarious.

I'm hoping someone has good advice here - or has at least been through something similar and can sympathise! My seven-month daughter is perfect in every way (of course!) apart from the fact she will not eat anything other than fruity Ella's Kitchen pouches. I diligently created a fridge-full of breast milk-enriched vegetable purees before we started solids but she wasn't keen at all. The Ella's fruity pouches have been a hit but I'd love her to try some vegetable flavoured ones, or better still, an actual piece of fruit or a real vegetable. Anything that isn't yogurt-smooth gets rejected and she bursts into tears. She normally such a cheerful little lady - it's unlike her to have a meltdown. Help!

We recently had a photoshoot with the lovely Joanna Szymkiewicz from Joasis Photography and I wanted to recommend her wonderful work on here. I hate having my photo taken but Jo made it a pleasure, setting everything up at our home and being perfectly patient when our baby needed to feed or snooze. Her pricing is extremely competitive, we've got a DVD of dozens of images to treasure, plus she's local - even better! You can contact Jo on [email protected].

Spring babies 2014 (due March, April, May)
kittenheels replied to Family Room Moderator's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi Spring mummies-to-be! Our spring baby arrived on Wednesday and, while it ended up going really well and with a perfect little girl at the end, we didn't have the water birth at home that we had planned... As a result I've got a birthing pool (bought second hand), plus an unused liner, two brand new hoses (15m and 10m), hose adapter, pump to inflate and pump to empty the pool all up for sale. It's the Birthpool in a Box Eco Mini pool. PM me if you'd like to make me an offer. I bought the pool on here for ?60 a few weeks ago - the new hoses and liner were about another ?30/40. -
ADT are in Honor Oak Park today. Two young guys just knocked on the door and one said "We're not selling anything". When I asked "Not even burglar alarms?" he just laughed and they walked off.

Hypnobirthing - has anyone tried this?
kittenheels replied to kayla81's topic in The Family Room Discussion
My husband and I (both a little sceptical at first) found Hollie's four-week hypnobirthing course a revelation. I've gone from feeling pretty terrified about giving birth to really looking forward to the big day. For that alone it was worth every penny. Thanks Hollie!
