  1. Hi SammyK, I'm really sorry you didn't get the invitation. Before we got permission to do the party, we sent consultation letters to everyone on the street checking everyone was happy for us to proceed. We then followed this with a letter - either hand delivered (if there was someone in) or posted through letter boxes (if there was no answer) telling residents of our plans and inviting ideas. There was then a 3rd letter delivered to every house listing what was happening with laminated versions attached to lamp posts. Our application was to close the entire length of the street but we were only given permission to close the middle section. We think this actually worked better in the end, but we certainly wanted everyone on the street to be invited and to come. Really sorry you were missed out somehow. Would you mind private messaging me your house number so that I can ensure you're not missed off next time. (hope you still managed to join the party this time round).
  2. On behalf of myself and the other organisers, thank you to everyone who came to the Pellatt Road Party and made it such a special day. It was wonderful to meet so many of our Pellatt Road neighbours and see so many smiley faces. Thank you to all the local businesses who offered amazing support for the party as well as our raffle. The Lordship for the bouncy castle, all those tables, for lending us your head chef to judge the bake off as well as for that great raffle prize, Oddono's, Myla and Davis, The Dulwich Picturehouse, Chener Books, Postmark and Lush Designs. Your generous prizes made our raffle possible, raising over ?350 in aid of the homelessness charity Shelter. Thank you so much. Thank you to Lou at Captured on the Rye for bringing the candy floss machine and spin painting to the party, Matt for his guitar playing skills, Susan and Geraint for the wine tasting, to our local Police officer for testing out our bouncy castle and to the incredible Firefighters who entertained everyone with their space hopper racing skills! Finally, a special thank you to our OldskoolDJ Tunji who we met for the first time in the run up to the party thanks to a poster in Lou's window. With his wide range of tunes and his determination to make the day as amazing as possible (from a lot of table carrying and assistance setting up to entertaining us all day with his tunes), I can't recommend Tunji highly enough. If you need a talented DJ for any event, please private message me....I would be delighted to pass on his contact details. Thank you everyone. Let's do this again next year!
